I have painted a sign on some canvas (painter's tarp) that will go in front of our Webelos den leader's home on den days. Our boys are the Dragon patrol, so the sign has a cave and the dragon's eyes in the cave are glow-in-the-dark paint. I need to seal it with something so that if it rains, the paint won't get destroyed.

I thought about spraying both sides with a clear spray paint. I thought about modge podging the whole thing on both sides.

Then I decided to come to those who probably know exactly what I should use. This sign is probably 5'x4', so it's fairly large.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Modge Podge isn't strong enough. Go to an art supplu store or craft store and buy a clear acrylic sealer. They come in sprays or jars. In the jars they look a little milky, but dry clear. Use a 3" large foam brush ( that looks like a squeegee) to apply it, so you won't get streaks.

Thanks! I bought an oil-based spray yesterday and am continuing to put coats on it. If I don't feel it's protected enough when I'm done, I'll brush some clear sealer on it.
