Ok, I've read the sticky thread but still can't determine the best way to get from Charles DeGaulle to DLRP. Here are our particulars:

-- Two adults, three kids (14, 11, 6) flying BA into CDG around 11:40 on a Friday
-- Probably one bag each (five total) and carry-ons.
-- Staying onsite (Newport Bay)
-- We're American, but both my wife and I have been to Paris previously, her twice last year, me a long time ago. Can decipher basic signs in French.
-- Don't want to rent (hire) a car (on vacation, don't want to drive)
-- Not interested in sitting around waiting for a bus after long-haul flight unless people think it is really the best way?

We considered TGV but can't seem to buy tickets in advance in USA (RailEurope doesn't seem to have an option for this route, only long-haul). Tried UK sites but they won't send tickets to USA.

Any opinions on shuttles/private car services? Any to avoid?

All opinions appreciated.

an option could be to use the underground (RER) this would probably take a while longer than the TGV but it takes you to marne la vallee station right near the entrance to the disney village, the parks and the shuttle buses to the hotel. I'm not sure which line you take but i think you have to change trains at les Hailles for the train to disney. hope this helps.

A private shuttle sounds the best option for you - BSTransports is well recommended by this board. It would only costs you a few euros more than the shuttle bus, and the door to door service would be a much easier option than the TGV. :)

we are using RS TRANSPORT which is supposed to be the same company as BS TRANSPORT, wont let put it in a link so just type it into google to find it

Hi yargrnhoj and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.
I'd agree that a shuttle company like RSTransport sounds ideal :thumbsup2

There's no ticket to take TGV at Roissy to stop at Disney (you can purchase another ticket to do Roissy to Lyon for example, and stop at Disney). If you want there's another choice : it's bus which started from CDG every 30 minutes ... Search VEA in google (i'm sorry, i don't manage to copy the direct link) ...

I'll never test RS Transport, but, i've already used VEA Transport and it's a good service but it's seem be more expensive than RS Transport ...

I don't think that is true. I can reserve AIRPORT CDG 2 TGV to MARNE LA VALLEE CHESSY for 18 GBP using a UK site. I just can't do that from the USA.

I know about VEA -- as I said, I've heard stories of people having to wait for additional coaches or not getting seats and having lived that at WDW, I don't want to deal with the coaches.

I'll check out RS Transports.

You're completely right :headache: ... sorry ...

No problem -- I thought maybe this was one of those things where tourists could get something that locals can't. I've seen plenty of those in the USA with WDW.

Not sure why the TGV chokes when I enter 'Etats-Unis' as my locale -- would seem like if the tickets weren't available in the US, they wouldn't have USA as an option...

After testing, I manage to find your ticket on raileurope website and i manage to choose ticket and i've got the route schedule ...

For Roissy, i wrote Paris cdg airport, and For DLP, i wrote Marne la vallee ....

Have you worte the same train station or not ? And ilf you test with these train station, do you manage to checkout ?

TBH I really wouldn't even contemplate using the TGV with five suitcases and carry on bags. Just too much hassle to lug around that amount of stuff, first to get to the train at CDG and then to get to the hotel when you arrive at DLP. I would need door to door service in a similar situation - JMHO!!

Another vote for RS/BS transports. They offer a very good service at a decent price. They had a guy waiting for us with a sign as soon as we arrived. Much better than having to find the bus stop or the train. Quick, easy and not much more expensive. It's an easy choice!

No, checkout fails when you get to the confirmation page if the country is 'ETATS-UNIS'. Says something equivalent to 'could not complete transaction' if my high-school French is correct.

Although, now that I think about it, it could be my credit card. I had a problem booking DLRP because my CC was being blocked by Chase (the USA issuer). I had to call them because they thought it was fraud. (I think because my wife had used the card in Paris a month before and they assumed someone must have the number.)

I should call them and see if this was the issue since I don't want to run into trouble once we get there, but I think the comments on here have convinced me of what I already thought -- lugging five suitcases and three kids, including a 6-year-old fresh off a long-haul flight from the US is the textbook definition of 'asking for trouble'. Or maybe 'insanity'.:rotfl:

Thanks, all!

Another fan of RS Transports here. :thumbsup2 Used them recently with 2 adults 2 children and 7 bags. Would not consider any other form of transfer now.

Without a doubt!! ::yes:: Just had a similar scenario on a trip to WDW. If I had had to transfer all our stuff any further than to and from the towncar, I would probably have cried!!
