Hi there :) My beautiful family and I are are returning to Disney World in two months and I haven't made any dining reservations yet. I'm getting kind of nervous because lest year we decided to wing it and were unable to dine where we really wanted to. The only table service restaurant we've eaten at in Disney is rainforest cafe. We enjoy going everytime we are in Orlando. We will be staying for three nights and will be doing 1 QS breakfast and 1 TS dinner each day and snack inbetween. I am here to ask for a little help deciding which (in your opinion) quick service and table service do you think would work best for my family. My son has autism and doesn't like extremely loud noises although I would prefer to eat somewhere that isn't too quiet as he does sometimes blurt out a scream or two because of his sensory processing disorder. He is also a pretty picky eater sticking to mainly chicken nuggets/pizza/mac and cheese. We have a 2 yr old daughter as well who will be three by the time we go on our trip and she is a very good eater. Thanks in advance! princess:

If you like Buffets, Crystal Palace in MK is a good one if you can get it. My DD loved the mac and cheese there.

We have also enjoyed Sci-Fi Diner and 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios. Sci-Fi Diner does have the movie clips with things that might disturb young kids though so that might not work for you.

In Epcot we usually try new places but I really like Via Napoli for TS and Sunshine Seasons for QS. Electric Umbrella sounds like that might fit your family too for QS.

In AK - we liked Pizzafari for QS. There is a Rainforest Cafe in AK so that could work for your TS in that park.

I would also recommend seeing what you can get right now and evaluating based on that. While you can sometimes get stuff 24 hours out as others cancel, I suspect you want to have some predictability of time and menu for your son.

Tough to get a lot of value from a thread like this. For example, we think Crystal Palace is one of the worst places on property. It's also crazy, hectic, and loud. There is no consistency of views on this topic.

Getting chicken nuggets, mag & cheese, etc. shouldn't be a problem. I think MOST Disney eateries are loud. The bigger the room(high ceilings) and the more exposed hard surfaces (no carpet, drapes) the worse it gets.

Im just trying to hear everyone's opinions instead of looking it up online again. I feel like I've done so much research and still can't decide :/ Rainforest cafe is a definite must!

I would definitely avoid BOG if noise is an issue. I've experienced middle school cafeterias that are less noisy than that cavern.

And I haven't eaten there, but given the talk about the antics in Whispering Canyon I'd avoid that one as well.

We loved Crystal Palace - it's our must do every trip. It has the foods that you mentioned that your son enjoys and the characters have always interacted so well with our children (teens now, but we've probably been to CP a dozen times so we went when they were little too). Chef Mickey's is fun too - it gets little love from many people here, but we always enjoy it. We like to book the earliest possible meal times (less crowded).
For QS, maybe check out Pinnochios (fun to watch boats at IASW ride) or Columbia Harbor House (quieter seating upstairs).
Good luck getting the reservations you want!

I would recommend you pick anything you see has food your family would enjoy and book those adrs. then I would call up and let them know the specialized needs for your son and give them a chance to answer if they can accommodate them. I know many restaurants have seating areas off to the side that are much more intimate and quiet even if the restaurant is themed to be noisy. It's free to cancel or adjust...

Also, you're not the first guest with these needs so calling up for assistance in booking adrs I think might go a long way. then in 1 call, you'll get a variety of places, the account will be marked on your needs. Disney is amazing with ensuring everyone has an incredible dining experience.

Excellent advice!

Honestly, the first thing I would do is see what is available for your dates and go from there. 2 months out, many of the suggested places may be booked at the times that are preferable for your family.

I would look at resort dining if noise is an issue. The park restaurants are pretty loud, no matter the time, and they are always congested IMO. No restaurant is absolutley quiet, so I would not worry if your son get a tad overwhelmed, you will notice, but most others will not.

I am going to check availability for Crystal Palace and Rainforest Cafe still unsure of the third one I believe we will be going to MK, Epcot, and Hollywood studios. We're staying at AKL so we're going to skip AK park this year.
