With this heat that we are having in Vermont this week, I have been working on my plan for my trip to Disney. I will be staying at AKL Cl November 15-19. Now, here's my plan and I need help filling in the blanks:
Monday: Arrive at AKL around 2pm. I have booked a 50 swedish message for DH at 5pm. I will wonder around during this time. I want to see Spectro Magic (7pm) & Wishes (8pm) and wondering where should I eat? Do I have time to eat between message and parade but wondering if I won't get a good spot to watch the parade. Should I just eat get room service when we get back and enjoy the balconey?
Tuesday: Magic Kingdom:Is pretty much set with breakfast (CRT) and dinner (Crystal Palace) but I had booked Plaza Resturant for lunch but when I looked at their menu,I am thinking of doing Tony's Town Square. Any ideas?
Wenesday: Epcot:Again, set for breakfast (Boma's) & dinner (Garden Grill) but I had booked Rose & Crown Pub & Dining but looked at their menu and thinking of changing but don't know to what.
Thursday:Hollywood Studios: Sunrise Safari for breakfast and then the rest of the day is open. I was told that we probably wouldn't be hungry for lunch.
I was thinking of the Sci Fi Diner. I was told i was a great place to visit.
Friday:AK: Breakfast is Donald's Safari (has anyone done this? The menu is not impressive) and lunch is open. I was told that we need to leave around 5pm for the airport.
Where can we get good sandwiche type of stuff that we can take home with us so that we can use up our dining credits?
Thanks for any and all ideas. We are open to almost anything Sue:eek:

1. With a 5pm massage and 7pm parade, you will not have time for dinner and get a good spot. If you want a good spot for spectro you need to be on main street about 1 hour before parade time. It fills up fast

Hello!

I would say that you are cutting it very close with the massage and getting to MK for the parade, let alone getting a good viewing spot. If the massage is 1/2, you might make it, if it is an hour...no way.
And eating in between the 2...nope not gonna happen. Sorry.
It is about a 20 min ride to MK from AKL, add the time for the bus to arrive, which could be another 20 mins.

I would say your MK day looks a bit crowded with eating 3 sit down meals. Some people do it, but I usually only do 1.
You should allow at least an hour for each one and CRT, could run 1/2-hour more. If you have the deluxe dining plan and that is what you want to do, go for it...but my opinion is that takes to much time out of the day for the park.

Not sure if I understand the last part with the sandwich, are you wanting to take a sandwich for the ride home? Or bread, lunchmeat and make your own?
AK has a nice Italian sandwich at Pizzafari, not sure I would want to take it out of the park, to travel with, but again that is just me.

As for not eating lunch on the DHS day, I wouldn't be so sure. WDW is alot of walking and you use more energy than normal so you do get hungry more than at home...body needs energy. I would definitely look at some CS places at DHS just in case. Sorry can't help you, DHS isn't my cup of tea, so we hit the big rides and leave. Never in that park more than 4 hours.
Sci-fi is an experience. The food is ok, not great, but the cars and the nostalgia from the drive-in...that makes the trip to the restaurant.

Have fun on your vacation!

Personally, I have to shower after a massage so I would not want anything planned too close after my treatment.

We think the food at Donald's Safari breakfast is very good. It's our favorite breakfast at WDW because it offers several non-traditional breakfast dishes.

Sci Fi is a fun place but the food is mediocre. So it's a great place to go if you aren't starving. The milkshakes are very good here.

Most CS places are not set up to wrap your food as a "to go" order. You might want to try the French bakery at Epcot; I think they will wrap their sandwiches.

I see you are staying Club level plus doing a dining plan? Are you eating all meals out; you don't mention taking advantage of the club offerings.

I must be honest that there is not a whole lot for us to do in Magic kingdom other then get autographs. Not much for the rides but we will do some.
I am looking to take the sandwiches home. Will get them dry and they should be fine to travel. We will eat something on the plane as we don't get in till 11pm. thinking I might get some ice packs (the kind that you break when you need them) but not sure if they are allowed on the plane.
I did get that the food wasn't the greatest at Sci Fi but was told that we had to go there. I am sure that we will have to stop somewhere to eat but I was told that we do not eat till about 9am after the Safari

Thanks for your advice

Thanks for the info on the message. Never thought about taking a shower afterwards so I changed that to Tuesday at 7pm.
I will bring some tin foil with me in case I need to wrap things to take home. I am not sure how much we will be using the club lounge as it is out of the way to go back there during the day. We may get some snacks from there to have on the balconey at night. Thanks again for your help
