Hi there!!

I have a variety of questions regarding Dining choices and other related things. I would love some help!!!

1) Any thoughts on The Turf Club at Saratoga for dinner? This is for the 1st of our 2 DTD evenings. Deciding between there and Raglan's but my thought was to maybe just stop in at Raglans on our last night in WDW for a late beer and to, of course, sample the bread pudding dessert that I hear is to die for!!! Turf Club overlooking the water, 5pmish?, 8 ppl. (4 young ones being 11, 18, 19 and 21) plus oursleves and my parents. What do you think?

2) Our last night in WDW (DTD) we have a 7:30 reservation at Wolf Pucks Cafe (downstairs) on the patio overlooking the water. Anybody eaten out there? How is it? I'm told it's all covered and pretty, etc. but wanted to hear from a customer who has been there!!!

3) Does anyone know if Grand Floridian Cafe will be closed for rehab during our visit (Aug 26-Sept 2nd)? The reason I ask is when I was booking all my ADRs I was told it would be closed for refurb BUT, according to everywhere else I've read SO IS 1900 Park Fare!!! I'm thinking maybe the CM got the 2 confused????? So..booked at Whisp Canyon insteadbecause my youngest wanted to eat there again. I would switch to GF Cafe in a heartbeat though if they WILL be open. Have heard pretty good things about the place. Anybody?????

There are a few more but so far these are the ones I can think of

Thanks for any help :)

The Grand Floridian Cafe is not closed, but it is impacted by the closure of 1900 Park Fafe.

1900 Park Fare is closing for refurbishment July 9th through October 1st. While it's closed, the character meals normally held there will be moved to the Grand Floridian Cafe. These character meals will be a fixed price, pre-plated meal. It will not the buffet that's usually in 1900 Park Fare or the menu that's normally at the Cafe. Because the Grand Floridian Cafe menu will not be available, Citricos will add breakfast and lunch items similar to those typically at the Cafe to their menu for this period.

So, Grand Floridian Cafe is still open, but won't be the "normal" Grand Floridian Cafe. If you're looking for that type of menu, you could try Citricos.

Thanks Dave!!! :cheer2:

That all makes sense now!!!! :thumbsup2 Oh well...guess our little guy will be happy about the Whisp. Canyon!!!!!

I haven't been to the Turf Club to compare it to Raglan Road, but you may want to consider having dinner at Raglan Road if the menu looks appealing. Given the ages of the people in your party, the atmosphere and entertainment of the restaraunt might be a lot of fun for your group. The food and drink is excellent there. It's become the one restaurant we don't want to miss.

Thanks for the info.

It is one that I have researched quite alot and have no problem with it but there are a few 'holdouts' who think they won't like Irish Food??????? Guess that's how Turf Club came up....there are not that many in DTD for the Dining Plan besides these 3(incl. WP Cafe, which we're already booked at) and not enough want seafood, so NO Capt. Jacks and Planet Hollywood....well, we have one here in Toronto and even the one in DTD did NOT impress us, food wise, so that's kind of 'out' also!!!!

I'm bound and determined to make it in there (Raglans) on our last night at WDW for a drink and to try the famous bread pudding!!!! At least then the 'kids' can occupy themselves in DQuest while we 'adults' have a drink in the pub and enjoy the show!!!

Sounds like a great plan. Cheers!:drinking1 :thumbsup2
