Please bear with me here......
I am in a last minute panic, when I thought I had it all planned out.... :)
This is my first time flying to Disney, and had planned to use the Mears shuttle to and from the airport. THEN, I found this board and have found so much great advice, tips, ideas, etc. I LOVE IT!

But, I realized that the Mears shuttle may not be worth the aggravation for myself, DD7 and DS3. Time is a big factor, as we have park tickets for arrival day, although our flight gets in at 1:30 pm. The extra money for a town car seems worth it to not have to wait for the Mears shuttle, stops at the various hotels, etc. No to mention, I don't want to have to leave 4 hours prior to my flight on departure day.

Since it is Spring Break, and everything is booked/ sold out, I expected to find it impossible to make a town car ressie at this late date. I called TTC today, and the guy who answered was very short with me (he was talking to what sounded like a driver on the radio the whole time). He kept telling me to go to the website to make the ressie. I just wanted to know if I could get a ressie for 5 days from now! I finally just did it online, I immediately got a confirmation number with no credit card info given. It all seemed very strange to me. This service has such great reviews from most everyone on this board, so I am trusting that. It just seems so hard to believe they are not completely booked for this Saturday(everything else ure is!), and that I was able to make a ressie so easily without paying anything up front.....

Whew! Sorry so long....nervous energy.....
Questions:
Is the town car worth the extra cost (roughly double for us)?

Is this how Tiffany's normally handles the ressies? Can I feel confident someone is going to pick us up at the airport? LOL!

Why not a rental car? At the least 2 one way rentals. Pick up yor car at the airport, 15-20 minute ride to disney(if no traffic) drop off car at car care center and they'll shuttle you to your resort. Do the same in reverse for return trip. 2 one day, one way rental will surely be less then the towncar or mears and you are in control of your own time...Mark

On our first trip in 2000 we used Mears since it came with our package and wished we had not used them. The wait for a bus was 45 minutes (I could have been already checking into the hotel). After waiting for 45 minutes we were on the bus another hour dropping people off at other resorts. Since then we have always used Tiffany Town Car. I will never use Mears again.

Why don't you try FL Tours. They sponsor this site and I have heard very good things about them. We have always used a towncar service and it is so nice and relaxing. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks for all of the advice. I am definitely looking forward to relaxing WITHOUT driving for a change! :p So, I just needed to convince myself that saving time with the town car vs. the shuttle was worth double the $$$$. I talked with TTC and they reassured me that my ressie is fine and they will see me Saturday in baggage claim!

I am really getting excited! My kids are bouncing off the walls too!:Pinkbounc
