Help! 3.5 x 5 photos

I designed autograph albums for DD6 & DS4 for our December trip. 8x8 albums, 1 page per character with 3.5 x 5 photo, double matted, a 3 x 5 tag for character to sign and some sort of embellishment. I picked 3.5 x 5 because it fit on the page better than 4 x6 and I thought it was a common size. Yikes!!! I am wrong -- the only place I found that will print a 3.5 x 5 photo is scrapbookpictures.com -- at $0.25 per photo. This seems a little high to me. Does anyone know where I can get this size photo? I checked snapfish, shutterfly, kodakgallery, clarkcolor, winkflash, CM, ritz, & dotphoto.

I really do not want to redesign all of my pages -- over 80 of them. Thanks for your help.

Order the 4x6. You can crop the picture to make your prints fit the 3.5x5 space you created. Not necessarily the case for all cropping, but as an example, you could trim .5 inch from each long end and .25 inch from each shorter side to fit your mattings.

I ran across the same thing- never did find anyplace that prints 3 1/2 by 5 still. I had access to a photo printer though, and resized and printed them that way. I'd also probably go with the 4 x 6 and crop. Or if you have a picture you just can't crop...do you have Photoshop, or something similar? You could make a 4 x 6 background, and size your picture to 3 1/2 x 5 inside it, and have it printed that way- with a white border that you'd then crop. More work that way, but probably not as much work as redesigning your albums!

Good ideas. Thanks!! The whole point of pre-making this album was so I could finish quickly in time for Christmas when we do our visiting. It seems like I have created more work for myself than I intended. Next time I should research first!

We had the same problem with a wedding frame that holds 3 pictures, all 3.5 x 5. DH resized them in Photoshop, just like ella6599 suggested. It worked out great! But we did have to tell the photo processor to print them out exactly as they were and not try to stretch the image to 4 x 6.

photoworks.com does them for 9-19 cents, depending on how many you get. You should be able to do 15 cents for sure b/c that's just 25 or more.

Before we got photoshop I resized them and Microsoft Word and printed them at home!! Worked for me!!! I used that size in my 8x8 ABC's of Disney album!
