My oldest was very much like that. He actually didn't sleep through the night until he was 4 years old! YIKES!
I found myself sleeping on a LaZBoy chair with him many nights. He was either propped on my shoulder or lying in my arms on a breastfeeding pillow thing. The other nights he was in our bed with us.
I also worked so I needed sleep!
You have to find what works for you. Everyone will have opinions, which you can already see.
Take them with a grain of salt and find what works for you. I think sleep is of the utmost importance right now and however you can make that happen is the best thing!

I don't get back to sleep after the 6am feeding because DS is getting up at 7, but hey, I'm not going to complain!
I'll have to try it because that's how she gets vitamin D.

) but it could have been a disaster! why? because I listened to anothers well meaning advice... NOT my own instincts!
I was thinking more along the lines of her DH being able to use the dropper for Br. Milk or formula so someone else could feed the baby while mom got some sleep.
