Help…Do I Have A Chance of Passing ROFR

Help! Seller just accepted our offer on a SSR 100 point contract for $120 per point. The contract is loaded with 200 21 points and 100 from then on. Do we even have a chance? I honestly didn’t think they would accept that low. I am afraid it will not pass ROFR. Should I tell them I will pay more?

I wouldn't. That's the price that you and a willing seller agreed to. If they take it, there will be others.

I had a fully loaded 210 point SSR contract that passed at $120 last month, thought I saw in the ROFR thread one that passed at $119 as well. Although, I never stopped looking for other contracts because prior to being notified, I for sure thought it was going to get taken.

I’m in the same boat. $120 pp with double 21 points and seller paying 21 dues and 50% of CC.

My thinking is that it MIGHT get taken but there will be others. I had another one roughly agree to the same price. Bottom line, no guarantees that if you pay a few $$ more it will pass so I would just take a chance.

I have wondered if the brokers used play a role in the contracts taken or accepted. I wish that component were trackable here.

You never know, things change constantly. They may all the sudden stop taking SSR contracts, and you get a great deal.

Its really hard to say. There is no real logic to ROFR.

Sometimes you are just lucky on the day. But I don't think at $120pp its beyond the realms of passing. The board sponsor just released their ROFR report which shows highest taken at $131pp

I wouldn't change it. If it gets taken there are other contracts out there.
It really comes down to does Disney need those points now or not.

Just go with it...you never know what will happen. DVC might turn their attention to another resort - it's happened over the years. Good luck!

Lots of buyback lately, so that's a risk with any ROFR.

I suspect it will be taken, however personally, I bid what I want despite ROFR and having bought more than a dozen contracts I have never had one taken. I should note, I go for the "deals". I do have an OKW that DVC bought from us. We had a feeling it was peak for OKW 150 2042 and got $116 for a stripped, delayed closing. We are now seeing contracts with way more points reduced to $115.

You never know what DVC will take and eventually they do turn their attention to another resort, so if you have the time and inclination go for it.

That stinks, we submitted at $129/pt on a 200 point loaded SSR contract on 11/19....just waiting, lol
