Has anyone else had this problem? I am signed up on all the Disney sites ( even checked through go.com ) with my correct information and have checked ALL the boxes that I DO want to receive future communication. Every time I call DRC I am told that my email has been disabled to not receive emails from Disney. I ask to have it turned on, am assured this has been done, and then when I call back, nope, it's turned off. Apparently I missed a pin code because of this already. I have called at least once a week for the past 4 months to get this resolved but have not been successful. I never even got the AP email even though I'm signed up with my AP on the site also. I do get communications from DVC ( we are members) and from the Disney Insider, but nothing from reservations since I've been "turned off". I'm starting to literally get turned off. Any suggestions?---Kathy

It is likely that you have some type of spam filtering program that bounces the message so when the message gets bounced back to them their system automatically resets your email settings -

This is a guess based on the way many systems work and is not Disney specific knowledge.......

Hmmm..that's a good thought although I usually don't have a problem with anything being bounced back. I do get emails in my spam box but nothing there from WDW. I have been told before that it's a "glitch" in their system, not my computer settings. I've checked my privacy settings, etc. but now I will check issues related to spam filtering just to be sure. ---Kathy

OK....just checked my spam filters and they were set at medium, the recommended level. I put them to low and will c/b to DRC once more to see if that helps. I don't have any firewall programs such as "mozilla" that I know sometimes will block the WDW and DCL sites or any additional software that would protect or filter spam or add security. Maybe someone else has had the same issue and can chime in.---Kathy

Do you have a "Do not block" list you can add them to? If you have the email address their messages come from, just add it to the list.

Well, lowering my spam filter to "low" vs. "medium" did not work. I don't have anyone blocked from receiving an email, but thanks for the excellent suggestion. I'm going to ask to speak with a supervisor next time as I was told I'm not the only person who's had the problem. I just want to get this resolved.---Kathy

When you call, tell them you are NOT the only person who's had the problem!!! I am in the same boat as you - but I gave up even trying months ago!!

Please let us know if you have any luck! pixiedust:

Laura- no luck so far. I'm getting so discouraged. What's strange to me is that I DO get the online updates from DVC ( we are members and I signed up for the updates on the DVC site) but nothing from our AP's. When we first moved to Florida and got AP's for all 6 in our family I didn't even know there WERE discounts available at certain times for AP holders since we never got the "Mickey Monitor". I have signed up for all email communication and even checked each website to check my profile...go.com, dvc, dcl, wdw...but when I call, nope..email is "turned off" with a message to not send email communications to my email address. Now I'm going to readjust my spam controls as that didn't help and I'm merely getting more spam...sigh. What really disturbed me was being told I'd had a PIN attached to my name but I never knew about it and of course by the time I found out, the offer had expired. ---Kathy

Frustrating, isn't it?!! I get the DVC emails regularly; also get lots of Disney Sponsor stuff; but no AP emails and when I've called to ask CRO "if" I have a PIN attached to my household, "no" and then I'm usually told my email is turned off. Their system will occasionally change my address/phone info to an address we moved from 3 years ago so I don't even hold out much hope of receiving a postcard either!! As long as I have Disboards to stay current, I'm OK!! ;)
