Anyone remember me. I sure have been among the missing.

Life sure has gotten in the way lately. Between vacation and being sick (3 week) now trying to play catch-up. Someone took 5 week out of my life and I'm wondering if I'll ever get caught up.

The yards a mess been tring to get the fall clean-up going, am I late. Plus DH is home till January, good/bad, depends on the day.

I'm sure my neighbors have really thought I've lost it this time. I must have 10 million acorns in the yard. Can't even walk around the yard. Where have all those peach-eating squirrels gone. I rake up the area, then take out the shop vac. Bye-Bye Acorns. Don't want a repeat of last years sproutings. For 2 months all I did was pull oak seedlings.

What's everyone been doing? I remember Tuli is cruising. I bet "Cruising with Tuli" would be lots of fun.

Grandkids and I have been busy trying to get the yard and house decorated. We are having a Pumpkin Carving Party on Sunday with some 30 people. I will be busy all day Saturday. Going to Boston with some friends, some shopping, dinner and going to see "Say Goodnight Gracie" so I need to get as much done as I can before Saturday.

Hate the thoughts of winter coming. I not a winter person, and after last winters cold and snow, I'm having nightmares. I sure could use a 3 month vacation in a warm area.

I was going to PM you to see if you were alright, but sometimes I worry that the Buds will think I'm pressuring them.

Your weekend sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun! I'd love to be able to come to you pumpkin party!

DH and I were talking about Winters approach last night. I was telling him the same thing...I'm kind of dreading it. Brrrrr.....

Oh, and cruising with Tulirose? I'm sure that would be a hoot and a half!

Hi there Mamu, I was thinking about PMing you too. How are you feeling? I'm glad you're back on the board and getting out and about.

Pumpkin carving is what we'll be doing this weekend too. Had to buy them this year grrrr. Ours didn't make it. They used to sprout up in my patio but I think my spring cleanup ruined that.
DS #2 and I took a lovely hayride out to a 300A farm to go picking on a spur of the moment decision. I should've brought DH along. Those pumpkins were heavy! We managed to get 2 nice ones home after much searching.

Maybe after carving up the pumpkins you could have a contest to see who could pick up the most acorns

I agree...it is a big acorn year...squirrels should be busy, but I think they are getting their winter food from someone elses yard this year...better acorns maybe?

I'm still moving plants in preparation for excavation day...i'm afraid they are just going to show up and I'm not going to be ready.

Cruising with Tuli, a hoot and a half!??? Thanks! We had a great time. Real life is so hard to come back to after a great vacation with great people.

Hey! I just realized something. There are a heck of a lot of Massachusset people on this forum. I'm going near Boston the second weekend in November to visit niece at Curry College. Any suggestions from the "local natives" of what we may do? We will only be there overnight and touring the small campus is the only thing presently on our agenda. Of course, niece may have her own ideas of what we can do but TIA for any suggestions.
