How is everyone doing? This board is awesome! I'm a husband and father who took his wife and (at the time) 3 year old daughter to Disney World for all of our first time in the fall of 2010. We had a great time, but we were definitely one of the families standing in the middle of the street futilely staring at the map. We were there from 9:00 am till around 4:00pm and all we rode was the teacups and the carousel! We were too busy just walking around, looking at everything. We are going back the last week of April, and with the help of this board, we will be ready to rock! Thanks everyone!

Hello there and welcome to the community :goodvibes I could totally picture your scene standing looking at maps. Nothing is more frustrating than spending all that money to be somewhere and then feeling like your swirling around in a huge toilet bowl of indecision  A few years back I discovered the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and at the risk of sounding like a cultish freak it changed my WORLD (Disney World that is :lmao: ) It's touring plans are so incredibly awesome and make my life so easy that I find it hard to think about going to other "Park" type places because I don't have the same spoon fed action plans.

Anyway, I'm glad your last trip didn't turn you off from Disney. With a little planning a prep work it really is the greatest!! Have fun and enjoy!! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the welcome! That's funny because I just got last years Unofficial Guide at the library yesterday and I've had my nose buried in it ever since! It's great!

Yep, the Unofficial guide is a lifesaver! We don't use the touring plans since we usually go at the slower times, but it has great information about everything. My biggest recommendation would be to look online at the maps of each park and familiarize yourself with their layout. Get the free customized maps they offer on the Disney website if possible. That will help you know what direction to take based on where the attractions you are interested in are located.

:welcome: to the Dis and have a fun time planning your April trip!
