Hi everyone!

Im a DIS newbie! I've had a dip in and out of all the boards this week, endless fun :rotfl:

I've booked my 2nd trip to WDW for Sept this year, so excited about it!! :cool1: The last time I went I was only 11, so didnt have to plan anything, my parents did it all!! Now it feels like i have a lot of work to do!! :scared1:

But sitting all day doing this :surfweb: is helping me plan!! Ive been to DLP a couple of times, but everything about Florida seems so HUGE! there's a lot more to think about!!

Im a wheelchair user, wondering if they're is anyone else here that travels with a powerchair? I will be flying with Virgin, will be calling them up soon to book assistance in the airport etc but I'm sure they deal with disabled customers all the time, should be all good :thumbsup2

its nice to share my disney obsession, when I talk about disney hols to my family they've learnt to shut off and just nod every so often:rotfl:

so hopefully chat to some of you soon :wizard:

Welcome!!

Glad you've found us! The DIS really is a great place to get all the planning help you could ever dream of!

How exciting that you're all booked, and that you're traveling with your best friend, you're going to have a blast!

An Orlando trip can seem really daunting to plan, but don't worry, in a couple of weeks you'll be a pro! (And a DIS boards addict!!)

I always find reading Trip Reports a great way to get some general information, and to get a good idea of what people get up to on their trips.

Here is the UK TR board: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=62

And also look out for links in people's signatures.

Any questions ask away, between us we'll probably have an answer!

Where are you staying?

Hi Mickey'sZebra<3

We will be staying at the All Stars Music :woohoo: wanted to stay onsight for ease of transport!

I also like a bit of extra magic when we get back to the room :wizard: hidden mickeys in the decor or mickey soap in the bathroom, like in DLP, would really make my holiday :lmao:

There's a great Hidden Mickeys book and iphone app for WDW if they are your kind of thing.

Yes that does sound good!! :thumbsup2

Although, think I'll be on more of a character hunt! I love meeting characters :cool1: think we are doing Chef Mickey's but I would love to see other characters in the parks :wizard:

Are there certain places to look out for characters in the parks?

I'm Jodie by the way, forgot to sign my post sorry!! :cutie:

Hi Jodie :)

We were at WDW over Christmas and found Animal Kingdom a great place to meet the characters.

We went down to the camp trails just before they opened and met all the characters together - even Mickey & Minnie in their Christmas clothes - they then split up and went to their separate meeting trails - but that was good.

We then saw Lilo and Stich - all Pooh characters, Turk and Baloo - Pluto and Goofy.

If you catch the train across to Rafikis planet, there are also more meet and greets there.

Hope you enjoy your planning! :cheer2:

We have found this to be true of AK as well. They seem to have a greater variety of 'rotating' characters at that park.

We have met:

Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore (greeting trail on the way to Dinoland)
Terk and Baloo (path from Asia to Africa
Thumper and Miss Bunny (Camp MM)
Safari Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Mickey & Minnie (Camp MM Greeting Trails)
Meko (sp?) - Camp MM

Lilo and Stitch (can't remember where - hard to tell from the photos)

Jimminy Cricket also makes appearances at Rafiki's Planet Watch. (We've met Rafiki there too) and Brer Rabbit has made random appearances at AK too.

Do you want to post any particular must-meet characters? We can then find out or tell you where to meet them. :goodvibes

Animal Kingdom sounds really good for character greeting then :cutie:

safari Mickey would be fab! :thumbsup2 im such a big Mickey fan, we were planning on finding as many Mickey's as possible! So far on the list is:

Classic Mickey
Chef Mickey
Halloween Mickey (I assume he gets dressed up for MNSSHP's?)
Safari Mickey!! :)

Can we find sorcerer Mickey in WDW? :wizard:

Are there any others? I've seen photos of pirate mickey before pirate: that would be SO AMAZING :lovestruc but I'm guessing he is quite rare?

Im a pirate fan too so Captain Jack and also Captain Hook and Peter Pan are must see characters pirate:

Any idea how/where to find these?!

Thanks so much for all your help so far!! :goodvibes:hug:

Classic Mickey Magic Kingdom
Chef Mickey Make a reservation at Chef Mickeys. Be sure to be ready at 180 days before to ensure you get in and have a choice of times
Halloween Mickey (I assume he gets dressed up for MNSSHP's?) Yes, he does ;)
Safari Mickey!! :) Animal Kingdom

Can we find sorcerer Mickey in WDW? :wizard: Yes, he has a designated meeting spot at DHS

Im a pirate fan too so Captain Jack and also Captain Hook and Peter Pan are must see characters pirate: magic Kingdom. If you are going when the Halloweed party is on you will find them easily. Party characters and locations around the park do change but there are live reports from guests there at the time - all on the DIS of course ;) - and you will be able to keep posted on where to go

Any idea how/where to find these?!

Thanks so much for all your help so far!! :goodvibes:hug:

By the way Jodie, I would post you some pics, but as you may see from my signature, I exceeded my Photobucket bandwidth and have to wait until next Tuesday to use the account again :sad2:

Thanks for that :thumbsup2 so glad about sorcerer Mickey too, :woohoo:

I would LOVE to see your character pics when your photobucket account is working again :thumbsup2:yay:
