Hello my name is Lily, I am basically new to posting on the DIS Unplugged Podcast board here. I just thought that maybe I would introduce myself since you all seem like very nice people and are all very good friends with each other. So here's a bit of background information on me.

I am 18 years old, love, love, LOVE Disney World with all my life. I have never vacationed anywhere else, nor do I think that I ever will. In September I will be attending university for Concurrent Education - Bachelor of Arts Child and Youth studies (honors)/Bachelor of Education Primary/Junior. I love meeting new people and getting to know people. I live in Canada :rotfl:.

I've been listening to the podcast for 1.5 years and think it is the best WDW podcast to listen to, and it is the only one that I will listen to. Everyone on the podcast team makes me laugh ever so much. You guys do an amazing job!

I hope to get to know more people on here, so yeah - that's basically it. I just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome Lily!!!!! :goodvibes:thumbsup2 So have you ever considered doing the WDWCP? It'd be perfect for you- you are still in school and love disney! I believe Canada would fall under the INTL program too.

welcome!!!! :dance3:

Thank you both so much for the welcomes!
Oh I defiantly have considered doing the WDWCP, however the only issue that I have is the money I would need to get down to Florida, and live off of for a while. If I was going to University in my town, I would apply to the program but because I am going away for University I just don't think that I would be able to do it!

Thank you once again so much!!!

Welcome! Enjoy the podcast board. And I definitely second the CP. I don't know if I could have afforded it either, but I wish I had looked into it a little more...just to see. By the time I heard about it I was a graduating senior and my parents would have killed me if I decided to take time off then to work at wdw :rotfl:. But maybe if I had tried my freshman or sophomore year I think they would have gone for it... Oh well, I will just have to take extra vacations to make up for it!

Thank you!!!
I should do some research on the CP program. It does seem like ALOT of fun to do.

Welcome Lily!! I'm guessing from your screen name that you like the Polynesian Resort? I've haven't stayed there - yet! :goodvibes

WELCOME!

It is a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to your input and posts!!

Hey there Lily - great to have you with us :thumbsup2

I hope we see you around here and would love to hear about the CP if you go for it  Good luck with your studies :goodvibes

Thanks!!!! You all seem so amazingly nice, which is nice for a change.
Oh and yes, I LOVE the Polynesian resort, it is my home from now until forever :D

Yes, they don't pay you much, but our rent/utilities were taken out of our checks automatically. I managed to get by okay, but I did use a credit card a lot- and ran up a HUGE bill there. I ate in a lot and cooked. My roomies and I took turns cooking when schedule permitted. I actually just paid off all my debt about 2 years ago and my CP was back in 1996. But i went crazy buying gifts and stuff since I worked during the holidays and used the 50% off holiday CM discount. yeah, i went a little overboard! :rotfl::rotfl2: Plus all the happy hours and CM nights at PI got pricey after a bit.

But it is definitely doable. You actually work quite a bit and do the classes, so it isn't like you have tons of free time to go spend money. And there are lots of free things to do, like go to the parks and play! Plus all the CPers were in the same boat- all broke! lol :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

A big :welcome:from someone on the West Coast. You will find this is an amazing group of people. If you have questions just ask and then watch the answers pour in.

Thank you :D
If I did the CP program, I wouldn't want to be stuck in the Canadian Pavillion. Of course I would want to represent my country, but I would rather be a ride operator or something along that line.

Hi! yay another person close-ish to my age!

I'm 16:thumbsup2

You gonna join us for podcast chat tomarrow night?
