I have lurked around this board for far to long. Let me just say that Im 24 and my girlfriend is 21 and we love camping at the fort. We have tent camped the week of July 4th for the last 3 years and have a blast. We will be there again this year from June 30-July 6. Just in case anyone is wondering tent camping in the summer in florida can be done with out A/C. All we do is put up a 10X10 canopy over the tent and run a 18 inch fan in the tent all day and night and the tent stays nice and cool. Maybe its because we are young or maybe it's because Im used to racing a car and the temp being 130 degrees, but the heat just isn't a big deal.

No maybe about it.

Unless the temperature for this old goat is in the low 70's I'm not a happy camper.

Welcome! I've tent camped but not in the summer months at FW and won't! I'm just not into being in the heat all day..and don't sleep well at night unless its very cool...This old gal is spoiled I guess ...I'll take my TT over my tent any day now lol! AEnjoy your trip! I can't wait to get back there in Oct. for Halloween!

Welcome! I think it depends on if you mind the heat or not really. I've camped a lot in really hot temperatures (in the middle of the Everglades during the summer with no breeze, now THAT is hot), if I had to I would do it and not mind. Luckily I normally don't have to though....lol.
