Hello, what's wrong with me?! (Nov. 5 solo trip)

So glad you had a good time while you were there. I know just what you mean when you talk about the nostalgia from childhood visits. :)

Thanks for your trip report! Very enjoyable. It looks like early November is the magical "low crowds" time....it's tempting me for next year, LOL. :)

That was great. Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2 It helps with the DLR withdrawl symptoms...

Wow, thanks everyone for reading! :goodvibes

Just when I thought I was over DL fever for a while, I go and write up this little report....now I'm wanting to go back NOW. ;)

Hi..sounds like a fun trip...I was just wondering was the parks decorated for Christmas when you were there? We would like to go some year to see them decorated for Christmas...but not actually at Christmas...just way too busy!

Lots of the decorations were up when I was there, but I don't think all of them. The tree was up in DCA, but not in DL yet. And they were not turning on the Christmas lights at night.

We were thinking of hitting DL next December to see the decorations, but the lower crowds were nice last week so we might go early November next year instead.

Thanks for the info....I agree I like going when the crowds are smaller!

So happy to hear you had a great visit!

I had done everything I wanted at the parks that day, and still had one almost full day to look forward to.
Perfect. Solo-trips rock, huh?

Happy to have spent a couple fulfilling days at one of my favorite places on earth, I walked down Main Street thinking back through the years, of all the times I must have seen the same sights, and heard the same sounds. Specific memories often elude me, so I just enjoyed the nostalgia of the moment. At park closing I was heading out the exit gate, and the real world was starting to come into focus again. I had about five hours before I needed to drive to the airport and head home. And I was already trying to come up with a plan to make it back to Walt's land sometime soon.
And THAT is why they call it magic. :goodvibes

I also want to add that I have lost all four of my grandparents as well, and miss them dearly. There are little things that trigger memories of them for me (none Disney, sadly), but I think it's really wonderful that there was a little grandparent special moment for you in your visit. Maybe they really are with us forever. :goodvibes

Here's to you having another convention that you MUST attend in Anaheim soon.

:goodvibes Thanks, Double-D. Hopefully I will need to get back to LA sometime soon. If not, we are planning a family vacation for either June or November of next year. :) Seems really far away, though.
