To all the DIS-Con Newbies: welcome! If you hang out here, you'll soon feel like you've found some long lost friends! We all "knew" each other before we met and that makes it so much nicer! When we meet in person, it's like we've always known you!!
Dayna, I don't know that any of us were great AM'ers after a few days at the convention!

Here at home, I'm a lot better in the AM.....and by 5 PM I'm a GONER!

Hey thanks for the newbie thread!! Are there no others like me lurking? Dayna you should post a link on the CB inviting others to come and play I am starting to get really excited about DCII!!!! Talked to my husband about it again tonight and he was really serious when he said I should go. It means he'd be alone here with all four kids--pretty darn cool of him to encourage me to go, I think. I'm not going to know what to do with myself! Hmmm...maybe a little party at Jellyrolls? I've never been there, but it sure sounds fun!

OMGosh! Wendy you sound exactly like me! LOL My DH encouraged me to go too! And he stayed home with our 2 (heavens I don't think he would have let me go if I had 4 at home...LOL ) kids. And I thought I was a bit for doing it.....and I had never been to Jellyrolls either.....but I got the hang of that place in about 2 minutes FLAT!

You gotta come.....it will help you feel like a WOMAN again. I felt so grown up! I didn't have to make any potty runs, or go back to the room for a nap, or carry wetwipes around (well, maybe I should have ) ), and I got up early and stayed out late, and I ate ice-cream at midnight, and I didn't have to pick up after anyone before I left my room, etc., etc., etc.

Girlfriend, you're gonna have a BLAST! Count on it!

I am planning on attending DIS Con 2002 if I am able to get a spot. I really wanted to go this year but it would not have been a good financial decision. So, I am planning ahead and starting to save now. I will be coming solo (although I will try to talk my younger sister into coming also) which I think will be lots of fun!!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the next 11 months before we finally get to meet in person!

I was a lurker forever here. So glad I took the plunge. Everyone is so nice and friendly. It is fun to see what everyone looks like. I really enjoyed everyone we met and all the events we attended. Can't wait til next year to see my friends again.
