DO not flame me. But, we need to liven this board up a bit. There just seems to be so much more excitement in the disney part of these boards. We must do something about this. I mean Universal is great!! I am looking so forward to my vacation in October, especially since it will be my first visit ever to IOA. Also, my first hhn event. First time to ride the Mummy. So, I come to this board everyday to check out what has been posted. Most times it is much of nothing. Come on Universal fans, goers. Let's liven it up around here!! I mean, arent we all excited to be going? I know there are other excitied people out there in cyberspace other than Macraven, Metrowest, phamton, Seahag, FLA, Folodar. So, come on let's get it going around here. At least pretend to be excited for me for 42 days. Deal? :goodvibes:

Hey...

I'm excited about Universal! Of course I'm there all the time as I work there...LOL.

If any of you ride Shrek ...do stop by and say hello to me! I love it when people from the boards say "hi!" Generally you can tell who I am as I'm the one who carries "Dragon" around all day.

Holly (the "dragon lady")

We will be there in 15 days and I can't wait. I do love WDW but US and IOA are my all-time favourite parks. We are only staying a week and intend to spend at least half of it at USF.

I'm heading over today for a few hours.

 wish I was close enuf to do that!! Both DH & I are looking forward to our trip! :goodvibes As you can see tho, our trip is very far away!! I'm sure the above mentioned "regulars" already know I've started planning our trip because DH & I haven't been to Universal since 1992! No nothing there BUT Universal! We are SO anxious to get there and see everything...it's going to be very different! As faindrops27, I too come here everyday to see what's new and old and posted.....won't have time to "catch up" and read up on what I missed, but, that's what winter is for :cold: !!!! So, count me in as EXCITED!!!! :hyper: ...but, can't add much now....just learning! :teeth:

I am trying to plan our FIRST ever US/IOA vacation and I am VERY excited!!! Confused, but excited. :rotfl:

Nothing to be confused about Tink. Just go and have a wonderful time..don't try to analyze everything. :teeth:

:cool1:
we can't wait to go - it's closer than we think!!!! (I'm hoping if I say that it will get closer by leaps & bounds :goodvibes )

when i first read your post i thought yea, lets liven up these boards at universal....

i received all three of my tags on the universal boards.....

i check the two universal board sites each day and try to make some comments or conversation on them.

maybe i should do a bump on them daily to keep them in the top page of the dis......that;s a thought.

my time in october for hhn will be the second weekend..........so excited and hard to wait for it.
i do disney first as i truly get spoiled by fotl at universal.
hhn is the best..........words can not describe how fantastic it is.

ok, i did my part on this thread, who is next? :flower:

you will really like the mummy.

it is an indoor in the dark roller coaster ride that actually has a theme to it.

the artwork and storyline is so smooth and easy to follow.
no one can just do it once.

be sure to place all objects in the free lockers. the workers will not let you take anything on the ride with you.

it is one of those rides you can do over and over.
i used to think the last row was the best, but decided, nay, its the front row for me.................

You all are the best. You all have really made my day. I just came in from a rough day at work. Cooking all day. Then I log on to see all of your posts. It has reminded me that I will be there in just 5 short weeks!! Thanks everyone for making my day brighter.

Macraven, I really cannot wait to experience Mummy. I've been wanting to since the first day I heard of it opening. I also cannot wait for hhn. A question for you. I went to Wolfs hhn site, and for the life of me. I dont really see much info about the event this year. I guess I am slow to know how to navigate his site with ease. Do you have any tips on where to look up things like pictures, you mentioned in a previous post I read. Also, where the names of the houses, and how many there will be? I really want to get into it researching, and such. But, I havent had much luck. Please help.

I wish I could move to florida, but the husband is not going for it. I guess it is for the best, for I would probably be in the parks anytime I could get a chance. But , that doesnt sound to bad, does it? Anyhow, I am not going to chatter on. Again thanks everyone for chiming in. :wave2:

I agree, in some way, it's so quiet here, I come on too much to check for new posts to see none :( .. I'm going in 24? days and can't wait!! A long, 9 day trip for me, including the mouse of Disney, Halloween Horror Nights, and Universal/IOA. As well as, dun dun dun, on-site resorts! One at both parks, Universal and Disney!

go to chainsawwolf site and on the left you will see categories.
the pictures are , gee can't think right now, either in the picture or database folders. click on that and it will take you to it.

you have to read thru the messages to find where people have posted they will be stationed at for hhn. if you do a search with their name, you might streamline it to find more 411 on it.

if you highlight one of the messages where they have listed the hhn site, it will take you to a map a few of them have created listing names.

or
go to halloweenhorrornights.com and click on the top menu.
think it is houses, or map...haven't had enough coffee yet so not thinking straight. whatever the case, go to the official site and you will see what to click.
the map has the names of the houses and scare zones at the right hand bottom corner. move your curser over it and a red dot will appear over the location of that place on the map.

i forgot your other questions.
later today i will pull up the site and try to explain it better.

Psssssssssssssssstttttttttttt!! To be able to see pictures at chainsaw's board, you have to be a member. If you are not a member, you can still see all the messages (and I mean ALL!) If you want to be a member, I believe you can send an e-mail to the owner of the group. HTH

yea, seahag is correct.

there was an issue and now you have to email wolfie before membership.
send the email and see the pics the next night hopefully.

you can read the post without being a member though.
membership is free, its just like joining the dis

Shrek's my favorite!!! Hey, maybe when we're there 10/10 or 10/11 we'll see you and you could say hi to my 5 yr old ds by name? He'd think that was really cool, LOL.

Deal? :goodvibes:

Deal! I agree!

I'm having trouble getting excited for my trip...feeling guilty with the hurricane, plus our plans got a little skewed. When dh's grandfather's wife found out we were coming (they live about 45 minutes from Orlando) she took the opportunity to make arrangements to leave town, so now dh will be stuck babysitting Gramps and we'll have to stay there instead of on-site, so it will just be ds and I going to the parks for a few hours a day, not really the "vacation" I had planned, but she needed a break and that's life.

Maybe we should start some favorites or bests threads?

I've been on the Dis boards for awhile, but don't post too often. I have the pleasure of chaperoning my daughters choir trip to Universal next month, so I'm pretty excited! We've been to WDW twice, but never to Universal. We leave exactly 30 days from today. My mom (57) is also going and doesn't do coasters anymore. I'm hoping she will still have plenty of other rides to keep her interested. Any tips for first timers is welcomed! Unfortunately, we will be on the school trip schedule, so I can't plan it exactly the way I'd like, but I think we can still manage to do quite a bit. We will have 3 days total at Universal and IOA. We are also doing Wet n Wild and Sea World. Anyway, I hope to chime in more often now.

is your group staying on site? if so, the fotl will be great for all of them.

if you are staying off site, you can use the free express pass system or purchase the express pass plus for the express lines.

not sure what dates in october your group will be at universal but hhn starts sept 30. it is on weekends until mid oct then more weekdays are added.

check the universal site for the exact dates.
if you attend universal during the time hhn will be then be aware the parks close early on those dates.
ioa: closes 5
universal at 6

anymore questions, just post
