My Dad's favourite saying when drinking a Coke was "hurts so good", and it's so true, lol. It's so refreshing when you're thirsty, but it hurts to drink fast. I didn't get that hurt as much in the States. But less fizz is probably a good thing.

Yum. I love the Coke with real sugar. If that was more widely available I never would have tried giving it up.

I remember it being like that. It sounds like the original recipe.

Have you seen the retro Mt Dew and Pesi with the cane sugar in it? Kacy and Loren love the Mt Dew.

Andrea - so sweet of you! :goodvibes

World Market has an entire food department. They have food from all over the world and I love going there and getting different foods. And the international candy department is awesome.

Yes, I could spend forever in there! They have such yummy stuff :cloud9:

I think the soda with sugar tastes SO much better than the corn syrup stuff. They only started using corn because it was so cheap :headache:

Yes, it is. And it is cheaper and more available.

I have seen them. But I hate the taste of both, lol.

I know you are a Coca Cola girl through and through. You know my friend D was a Pepsi girl for life until she got her job and was only able to drink Coca Cola at work. Now she is a confirmed fan.

Ha! Coke convert, she is. I miss Coke :sad1: Water just isn't as tasty, Crystal Light or no.

Oh yeah - hi  LOL.

SO - we got bad news on DH's car. It needs a little over $2k in repairs. Talked to some friends. the cost is in line, and since the subaru still has fairly low mileage for it's age, it's worth it to fix. We can still get a quite a bit more use out of it. But still, 2K :headache:

Ouch! I sorry!!

Yes, I miss the carbonation of the soda. I cannot stand soda water though.

Ah. I can't say I've ever heard anyone refer to it as bubbles before, lol.

I cannot stand soda water either. It tastes horrible. Ick!

Ouch, sorry to hear about the costs on the car Tania. That's totally not fun.

And I would miss the bubbles too, lol. I haven't had the courage to give up coke yet. But I don't drink it as much as I used to, so at least it's a little better. I used to like Mtn Dew, but I don't really like anything Pepsi related these days. Even 7up. I prefer Sprite, lol. But I usually don't drink any other "pop" other than coke anymore.

thanks for the sweet words everyone :grouphug: It is what is! Cars are nothing but an expense  But still, the 2K is less than having to go out and buy another car. So the silver lining ... sort of ... :rotfl:

I must admit that is my sisters fault. And soda does have bubbles, does it not?

See, bubbles make me think the icky solution that you use to blow bubbles, so my answer is no. It has carbonation, lol.

Way to view the glass as half full!

It does doesn't it? If I want something that I will drink really slow I will drink soda water and lime.

I cannot drink 7up anymore, it is too sweet for me.
