The other thing about not renting a stroller is finding in the hoards of strollers that are parked that look almost alike.

Plus since you have a walking kid you can leave the stroller somewhere central, ditch it for a few attractions, then move to another area of the park.

I love having walking kids. LM's first DL trip, he did most of the walking. Space cadet mom left our stroller at home, so we had to rent a stroller at the parks. It worked out fine most of the time. Around 5ish I'ld go rent a stroller. The problem came when it was time to head back to the hotel, we were staying on Harbor. A couple times, he was asleep and would not wake up. Luckily I didn't bring a lot of gear. I had a sinch bag I could wear backpack style. In it were bear necessities (wipes, spear pull ups, mini first aid kit, cell phone, ID) tickets and money were in one of my pockets. After I turned the the stroller, I had to hold him all the way back to the hotel. DH was already at the hotel, he had hurt his ankel earlier in the trip.

He LOVED being able to walk to everything.

Honestly, I gave this serious consideration. Here's what changed my mind to a not WDW stroller 1) no reclining or place to hold gear 2) after we're done at the park for the night, not only do we have to hold all the gear, but then add on a very tired possible sleeping 40lbs of monkey. We won't have a ton of gear, like a little baby would need, but there will be some monkey stuff. A jogger type stroller is lightwieght, reclince for tired babies, hold gear, and with a little practice before hand it shouldn't take up too much time at the bus stop. If we're thinking properly, we may even be nice about it. When we see the bus coming and are fairly certain we're going to get on it, we could be unloaded and folded by the time it's our turn to get on.

Almost everytime I've gone to WDW there has been a stroller in our group. When we would see a bus coming we would just check if it was the one we needed then get the small child/baby out of the stroller fold it up and we were ready to board. We also always had a ton of people with us to help hold/fold and get ready. :) Last time I went we had 3 strollers in our group.

So, it's January, time to start thinking about Halloween:lmao: I have another "what would you do" question. I should be at my goal weight, or pretty close to it, by the time October rolls around. Most of you know my stats, but I'll share again for the newbies. I'm in my early 30's married mother of two kids 10 and 3. I'm 5'8" and according to my DH and mom, I'm something to look at, even more so when I'm fit. So, what would you be for Halloween if you were in my shoes? I wanted to be Jessica Rabbit, but I don't think DH would let me out of the house. I'm leaning toward a goddess or a mafiosa.

40lbs of monkey.

Here's one that may be of concern and is often overlooked for people used to just DL or just WDW.

WDW rides that are the same, BTMRR, Splash, ToT ect...Require a minimum hieght of about 2 inches more in Florida. So if LM gets phsyched about some of these big boy rides, check if he can ride there so you can talk him up or down even if he did it in DLR.

Good question. What will DH or DS be going as? Do you want to go as a pair or trio, or just show off the goods?

I was hoping for a quad, but don't think DH will dress up. For the first time ever, DD is thinking about being a princess. DS wants to be Thomas the Tank Engine. I know it's a long way off. I'll have to wait for the halloween store to open. I'm not thinking of the shorty-short cosumes, I don't want to be uncomfortable or make others around me uncomfortable. the goddess would be a one sholder, long flowy. the mafiosa would be a suit with a hat. I like the hat

Well perhaps by then DD or DS will change thier minds and maybe even DH and you can find a common idea to go as a set.

I still would go Goddess just because it allows more customization and you might have more of the parts around the house versus needing the suit jacket.

pfft:rotfl2: around the house:rotfl: funny. The only Suzy Homemaker bone I have is counted crosstich. There will be no "make it your self" costumes here. I'll go shopping when our Spirit store gets here.

Costumes are one place that internet can truly be your friend.

Just a drive by hi. I'll see you all a little later. <-- My HM reference of the day.

Good morning, Kirsten!

So, I was off getting my french toast on. Hehe. Love my weekly breakfast with my pal.

I think I like the idea of getting the custum now. If I get it in the size I'm supposed to be by October, I'll be more motivated to fit in it if I see it everyday.

That's true. It can be an incentive to you.
