Hello! Question for you seasoned vets...

DD's teacher is going on a cruise with her adult children, as well as her husband and I do not know if it is a Disney Cruise or not, but we thought it might be a good idea to get something cruise related for a teacher gift. What could we get that would be nice for her that she may not have thought of taking along? Any help would be appreciated!

Here's a gift we gave to my MIL for her birthday once a month before our cruise. We got an inexpensive beach bag from Target and filled it with sunscreen, a tropical print nail file, color changing nail polish, a copy of the Passporter's guide to Disney (you can get other cruise guides that cover multiple lines as well), a disposable underwater camera, and a light romance novel with a cruise theme.

I think any or all of those would make a nice pre-cruise gift.

The passporter would be a great gift...That is if she's going on a Disney cruise. Other than that...maybe a sun hat, aloe, maybe a waterproof dry box to keep her id and cc in while on excrusions.

I am a teacher....you are so sweet to put so much thought into her gift! I love all of the ideas I've read so far. I would add another bag idea to the list. I have a jewerly bag that hangs on the door. It has different pockets for different 'stuff'. It folds flat...very easy to pack. I really like the beach bag idea. I actually bought one in St. Thomas last year to put all my purchases in. It was very handy. Happy Shopping!

Depending on how much money you want to spend, you may want to think about sending her something once she is on the boat. We did this for our principal when she retired. You could send wine, chocolates, spa gift certificate etc. We were able to get the information from her husband so that it would be a surprise. She really enjoyed the gifts and the thought that went into them.

If you wanted a gift to give before hand, maybe a disposible water camera or nice photo album.
