Just got back from our week long trip. Had a great time! It was very crowded - :crowded: lots of tour groups, I think Brazilians - they were all over - some had blue shirts, others were green, etc.... :sad2: Even the not as popular attractions had long lines. It was very hot! I don't mind the heat but by the time I would walk to the bus stop I was sweating! We had a great time, ate lots of good food :mickeybar and discovered that I love Epcot. Any questions...don't hesitate to ask. :flower:

Welcome back! I am glad to hear that you had a good time. Is there any chance that you'll write a detailed trip report?

How manageable were the crowds? I mean, could you walk around all right? If you Fastpassed, were you able to do the rides? Was MK worse than the other for crowds? We leave Tuesday and this is the first I've heard about Brazilian groups. I'm getting nervous. We've planned and we're organized but...

Thanks

We just returned as well. July 17-22. We felt at times like we were in Brazil. Teens all over the place. Some of which were very very rude. They should know they are guests in OUR COUNTRY this is not their's. On the extra hours night at MK three groups were together and waiting for the bus back to their resort and they were singing and carring on and had no respect for the others around them. It was late and pwople were tired and they just did not care. Lucky, Disney brought an extra bus just to take them. Other than that lines moved very fast. FASTPASS is the way to go. "IF" you see a line and it says 30 minutes or less fo for it and forget FASTPASS as we found they moved very quickly and were less than 30 minutes. Alot of changes at the parks. Last time we went was 14 years ago.....I KNOW....I was sad to see the "Backlot" at MGM had changed and all the movie homes were gone. "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" playarea was shrunk. At Epot "The Living Sea" was not the same it seemed not to have as much as before and the ride was gone inside. Beware on the extra hours at the Magic Kingdom.....Everyone stays and it is a madhouse all the way till 2am. They other parks were just fine on the extra hours. We will go back. In fact we are already planning for our next trip.

Let's see... we avoided the parks on extra hour days except for the last night which was the extra hours night for MK - that was a madhouse - hard to get around - all the lines were long. I think we did 1-2 rides and that was it. We wanted to do Splash Mtn. for the last time but it was closed down for a bit and then nuts when it re-opened and we had a FP for BTMRR and there was lightning so I was nervous to get on it - plus the FP line was as long as standby because all the FP came back at the same time. When we went on Sun. it was great though. I couldn't get a FP on the same day for Soarin' and TT in Epcot so we did Epcot in 2 days. The wait lines for these two rides were 55-60 min. by mid morning and fast passes were done by 2. We didn't have any problems in MGM, we only spent a little time in AK - it was so hot and there's no a/c in that park anywhere. The rapid ride got closed down due to technical difficulties so we never got to to do that. Don't be nervouse just be willing to adjust your plans - that's what I had to do. We still had a great trip (even w/ all the Brazilians). I would avoid the parks with the extra hours though and go the day after a late night, etc... I hope you have a great trip and let us know how it was when you get back.
