Hi there, i'm brand new to the boards!

I recently got engaged at the Magic Kingdom after the Wishes Fireworks. It was absolutely wonderful and we are now planning a Disney Wedding!! Being a huge Disney fan, this is something i have always dreamed of!

We're looking at all the options and happened to read about weddings in the Magic Kingdom.... Now, does anyone know an actual cost for this because i've read on one site it costing from $28,000 then read on another site it costing from $500,000......quite a big difference! Anyone have any idea?

Any experiences anyone has had, or advice on how to get started on planning any of the Disney wedding options would be most appreciated.

Many Thanks x x

if im not mistaken, the $500,000 that is in the magic kingdom but at the swan boat landing not in front of the castle. best advice would be to call DFTW and talk to them

Thanks for the reply. So the $28,000 is for Swan Boat Landing and the $500,000 is if you have it somewhere in the park? I think you're right, calling them up might be best!

Thanks again x

From what I understand an MK wedding can only happen at the Swan Boat landing. There are no other locations available. The $25K amount is only for the location, that doesn't include anything like decor, reception, etc...

Also, your guest count is limited to a very small number, something like 50 or less.

Congratulations- Happy Planning

And if you wouldnt mind posting the reply that you get from DFTW I would love to know what they say. I'm just being nosey! LOL:rotfl:

Congratulations on your engagement -

I think the best place to start would be the DFTW web site - there is a planning tool there that includes locations and prices for the ceremony to the reception and all the other "basic" info you need to get an idea of what your :lovestrucdream:lovestruc Disney wedding could cost.

As MOB of a Disney bride - I can tell you that if you have enough $$$ then just about anything is possible - BUT if you want a wedding inside the park -in addition to restrictions on location - the time is often very early in the AM (before park opening) - so that might pose a problem:wizard:

Have fun with your planning - :dance3:

Hi, thanks again for the replies. Yes, i will definately post any info i get about MK ceremonies when i get to speak to someone. Thanks again xx

My understanding is to have your wedding in the MK the only option DFTW offers is what was already stated: Swan Boat Landing, 50 guests max, $28,000 venue fee. They no longer allow after- hours ceremonies/receptions no matter how much $$ you're willing to spend. I believe that part of the reason is they no longer have MK catering.

It doesn't hurt to call and ask, but don't be surprised if the answer to an after-hours wedding is no.

Best of Luck!
