We got back this morning. Despite flight being delayed we arrived on time-ish to Gatwick. Unfortunately one of our bags was one of the last to come off the plane (we were getting a bit nervous!!) so we were very late getting out of the airport.

I'll be writing a report soon but here's a brief outline.

We had a great time at what will probably be our last family holiday (certainly our last family WDW holiday as DS is 18.)

VH very bad at getting tickets to us - but we did get them on time. Otherwise everything else we had to do with them or VA was OK.

We had 2 connecting rooms at ASMu. Great to have two bathrooms and two TVs and really lovely to be back on site after trying out a villa on our last trip. I'd probably choose Sports over Music if I could turn back time as we were so far from the food court.

Past visits have been at end of August and we certainly noticed the crowds were bigger by going early in the month.

Much more rain than I've experienced before - I even wore a poncho!! That said the evenings were cooler than on past trips which made things much more bearable.

I only had a very loose plan - this had both pros and cons.

We ate on site more than I thought we would - that and having a teenaged son with hollow legs certainly used up our money very quickly. In hind sight a dining plan probably would have worked out better value for us - as it was, thank goodness for Barclaycard!

We got lost a few times (despite having satnav) and didn't enjoy Universal as much as we thought we would. We stayed at RPR for one night. The front of line pass was great, but it also meant we'd done everything we wanted to very quickly and were at a loss how to fill our time (also the heat at US was like being in an oven.)

I've written detailed notes for most days, so when I've had some sleep I'll start writing a report.

I'd like to say it's nice to be home, but ...
