:wave2: Hi Sian

I think perhaps you may feel a little overwhelmed by it all since you've not visited Florida before :) I'm very much like your mum - I get very excited, but the rest of my family don't so much, even though they really love our trips. They tend to get excited a couple of days before we go.

To help, have you seen any of the planning videos from Disney and Universal? They give you an idea of the rides - or look on the respective web sites, there's always information on the rides and attractions there.

Another really good way to find out more is to check out the Trip Reports section here - read up on what other people's experiences have been.

How old are you Sian (I know a lady never divulges her age ;) ) - what sort of rides etc are you interested in - do you like coasters, spinning rides, etc - and do you have a favourite character to do that ride or meet that character.

What about swimming - are you just staying in Orlando or travelling to the beach. The pools over there are great and lovely and warm.

How about shopping . . . . oh my, there's loads of that to do!!

Give us a bit of info on what you're expecting it to be like and we can help from there :thumbsup2

Happy reading :cool1:

Hi!
Dont worry, once the trip starts it may kick in.
Or when you are there and get your first glimpse of Mickey!!!
I always get excited once I start to see the WDW signs!!! :)
Everybodys different, and there is no point in faking it.
But hopefully you will enjoy yourself - thats got to be some reason I go twice every year!!! :thumbsup2

Oh Sian, you'll get the magic as soon as you're there! I think its great that you're not over excited it means you'll be taking everything in properly before you allow yourself to think 'This is it! this is the holiday my Mum has been wanting for me for so long' and to see how over the moon she'll be having you with her will be wonderful. Also if you've no idea what to really expect it'll blow your mind :cool1:
Have an amazing trip

Hi Sian

I was like you the first time i went ( i was 13 at the time) and really thought that Disney was going to be to childish or whatever and i wouldnt enjoy it.

I could not ahve been more wrong! i realy loved it and now i love to go back every year - twice a year if possible! I loved it so much im getting married there in December :thumbsup2

I really wouldnt worry - there really is something for everybody at Disney. What do you like? Roller coasters? Water rides? waterparks?

Hi Sian

Please don't worry honey. You will get a little more excited as your trip gets closer. I took my Fiance there for his first trip a couple of years ago and he wasn't too excited but I put that down to him being a boy and his age. He absolutley loved it once we got there and we are also planning to get married there next year.

I'm sure you will get the 'feeling' the first time you walk down main street in the Magic Kingdom and see the castle before you. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

Have a great holiday :cheer2:

Don't worry, the holiday will be a fantastic one that you will never forget and will want to do again, this is guaranteed. Okay you are not excited, this is probably the better state to be in than to be continually wishing the holiday was here and thinking of nothing else, which makes the last few weeks before you go more bearable.

I am usually more excited than any one in my house, my sons usually say they are looking forward to going but only tend to get excited about it when the holiday is almost here. I would suspect the closer you get to the holiday you will start to feel more excited about the prospect. Your Mam is excited because she knows exactly what fun is in store for you and cannot wait to share Orlando with you and your sister. The first time you go is so special because you just don't know what to expect.

I agree with all of the above!

Your Mum is super excited because she knows what fun you and Rhiannon will have when you get there!

Have you been helping with the plans for each day? Have a look at the planning DVD's to get you used to the sights, I think that will help a bit :)

Just let your mum do all the planning :thumbsup2 thats what everyone in our house does

I know this is a very special trip for your Mum
so of couse she is going to be so excited :cheer2:

Don't worry to much - you'll get into it all as soon as you get there.

Just like others have said

*Your Mum is so excited as she knows all the things that you are going to get to see and do and she is looking forward to seeing you see it all for the first time.

*You are probably nervous that you won't enjoy it and that that will disappoint her.

I'm sure you'll have a great time as there are so many different things to do and see

How are you today Sian? Feeling any better about your trip?
