O.K here's my dilemma.....I am in charge of planning a family vacation next yr 2007 to WDW.....I have been many, many times but my family has never been. I am debating between going the end of Jan,early Feb or May. I want this to be the best experience for them..I have been trying for 12 years to get everyone down there and now they are all planning to come.

The party consists of myself 30, DH 31, FIL 58, MIL 58, SIL 25, nephew 2 1/2
family friends 33 and 34 and their two daughters 5 and 3.

Which month do you think would be the best?

I would chose May. My DH and DS (then 2) went in May in 2001 and we loved it the temps are perfect. This way you can use the pools can usually wear shorts and a t-shirt. The attendance was also low. I don't think we waited more than 3 minutes to get on a ride. It was great. I went down in January once and I was wearing jeans and sweatshirts. There is no way that you could use the pools. My pick would be May. Whatever month you pick have a wonderful time. :rainbow:

I have been twice in the last 3 years, traveling with my sis, bro, and 2 nieces. Both times we went in January. This year we arrived on NYeve and stayed for 2 weeks. It was incredible. We found that we really relaxed that 2nd week and really felt like we were on vacation. It also gave us time to do other things besides go to the parks. I had never been to a water park in my life and I discovered Blizzard Beach. It was a blast- went back a 2nd time. I also had time to go for the DVC presentation and am happy to say that I just became a member. Both visits, the weather was incredible. This year we had a 20 minute sprinkle one day and 2 days when the high was mid 50's. The rest of the stay temps were 70-80's. It beat being in CA for the deluge of rain that hit home while we were away. We go at this time because the girls don't have to miss any school and the Xmas decorations are still up at all the resorts. We usually don't go to parks the first day, just resort hop to check the decorations. Don't miss the tree at the Dolphin or the Osborne Family Lights at mgm. All this comes down about Jan 3-4, so you want to be sure to see it the first few days you're there. I'm going back next year to show my good friends what WDW is all about. None have ever been there and can't understand why I've been to DL and WDW several times. I'm going to be their unofficial tour guide for their "happiest vacation on earth". It really doesn't matter when you go, because you always know you'll have a grand time at any Disney location. Happy planning!!
