That's an understatement! We got to the park at 4 and lines were low then. By the time the party started at 7, everything was a walkon and the lines for characters and thiings were really low. This must be a slow week. We got to do everything at least twice and some stuff multiple times. The parade and fireworks were really nice. I especially enjoyed the addition of Captain Jack to Pirates. That was just cool. We just hopped from ride to ride to ride. We even d the boyfriend with it's a small world. He thought it should be altered to be more like MIB and then they'd have something!!!

The guns on Buzz drove us all insane. If the new Midway Madness ride has attached guns it will be a real disappointment!

It is really warm here now. We didn't need jackets for the party last night, which was really nice.

Well, gotta go. The paparazzi has been hounding me. You know how it is.

We still have three full days before we go home. Think we'll add the outlet mall in there tomorrow!

It sounds like this is the perfect week to be at WDW. I've read reports from others who are there now, & they've been able to get any ADR they wanted same day. That's almost unheard of any more. We'll have to keep this week in mind for future visits.

I agree that Buzz ride stinks! Not only are the guns difficult to use, but 2/3 of them don't seem to work. They really need to redo that. I have to say, I still love It's a Small World though. My guys hate it, but I've probably ridden it 50 times & could go for 50 more. I can see why the BF wasn't that crazy about it though.

I always tell people the end of February is the best time to visit.
All the rides are working, crowds are light, and the temps are usually in the 70s unless a freak cold snap comes thru. Plus the onsite pools are heated, so an afternoon swim can be done.

Wow! Thanks for the information. We'd try to get to Beltz when we were on our weeklong trips. I really liked the Universal outlet store there. They had great prices and also offered annual passholder discounts. Sad to see it gone. I knew they had changed the name of the outlet center but didn't know they were bulldozing buildings. Did you see any signs on what will be built there?

I'm back!!! Got lost in the halls here trying to find club. We are on our last day today. Boohoo. The weather is warm again. We really lucked out.

Our neighbours last night were blaring music at 2 am. Can't quite figure out what that was all about but we missed a bit of sleep there. Someone must have finally complained or security heard it out on the bay. It was really, really loud.

We have to do a MIB marathon today. We've only ridden it three times. My
highest was 760 ish so that just isn't quite good enough.

So sad to be leaving but it's been great!

Okay. More news. We went to the parks today and left our bags in the room because the porter was to switch them to our villa suite today. At 4:30, I go to the front desk to get the new keys and they ask whose name to put on the double queen bedroom, so I give them mine and my sister's names. Then they ask whose names to put on the parlor and I give them my daughter and boyfriend's names. THEN THEY ASK WHO TO PUT ON THE KING BEDROOM!!!!! We got triply upgraded. So the room has a deluxe double queen bedroom, a deluxe double king bedroom, a parlor with a humongous couch, television and dining room and a third bathroom with a shower.

I can't stop giggling. My daughter and her boyfriend are really starting to wonder what the heck I did to get these upgrades and my sister is taking all the credit!

When we checked in yesterday, we had no idea that we would be getting these. When I was talking to the checkin girl she picked up the phone and called someone and said Damo (well not really) is here and then hung up. I wondered what was going to happen next. She goes in the back and brings me out a sealed envelope with my name on it. Then she gives us all my stuff and we head up to the room. When I opened the envelope it contained a hand-written note from the administrate assistant to the general manager saying that there wasn't a villa suite ready until Saturday (today) and that we would be getting complimentary club.

I love the GM. We worked hard for this upgrade but I honestly thought that if we were lucky we would just get a villa suite. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I imagine a two bedroom villa suite with club. This is truly a wonderful vacation.

Dinner at club tonight is a wonderful pasta salad, a selection of chilled veggies and cold cuts and cheeses and these yummy chicken skewers. Breakfast was good with pastries and fruit.

I love Portofino!!!!!

Talk to guys later. I took pics last night of the Portofino suite and I'll start taking some of our villa suite now. I've been taking lots of obscure pictures in the parks. I hope I remember what they are!!!

The wind was a little cool today but I think it was still over 70 degrees. We are off to Mardi Gras tonight. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 80 degrees so hopefully we will do the water rides!

I just came back from a night at the PBH. I got lost quite often, lol.

I stayed one night there, and 2 nights at Disney (Pop Century). OMG.... the atmosphere at PBH was so much nicer, so much more relaxed, it was nice.

i totally agree slacking..........
pbh is much better than pop.....no comparison

We're back and in withdrawal. I wouldn't hesitate to do the Portofino again. We did get a bit confused the first day or so but after that it was great. They had our room rate wrong but my handy email confirmation solved that problem.

We've got so much snow here, it is unbelievable. We had so much bad weather that they actually cancelled my son's hockey game on Thursday. Now that rarely happens!
