We're here, arrived yesterday. The Fort had a ferocious t-storm blow through today. We'd just got back from the MK and I decided to take the bus to the Outpost to see if one of these internet access kits was available. Half way there it started to rain. By the time we reached the Outpost bus stop it was coming down in buckets, with hail. Waited under the bus stop awning at least 30min, getting totally drenched, before the t-storm finally moved on. There were several lightning strikes within 50 yards of the bus stop so I wasn't in a real hurry to attempt the trip to the office. Got the kit though, so I guess it was worth it. Although things were happening back at the campsite that would really work to spoil the magic. Let's just say I THOUGHT I had one end of my awning set low enough to let the rain run off.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I never put my awning out the whole time we were there this past week because I'm afraid of winds and rain sneaking up on me. I lost an awning because of wind and I'd rather have no shade than pull $600 bucks again.

I hope you're trip goes well.

Man, I hate to hear that about your awning. Try to not let it spoil your Magic and FUN!!! Keep us updated on your trip.

Woohoo, another trip report! These are becoming more and more common, love it. We also never put the awning up, for the exact reasons above, lost one once in a freak out of nowhere rain storm.

I think most of the rain is gone for now, yesterday was blue sky!

Keep us updated on your trip! Have a great time! We leave for the Ft. in 11 days!!! Woo-hoo!!

The nice part about Florida is that, for the most part, if you don't like the weather when it comes to rain, just wait an hour. To put your mind at ease, however, having been in some pretty nasty weather all over the world and witnessed lightning strikes which resulted in serious injury, the strikes you witnessed were in all probability not within 50 yards of the bus stop you were standing in. They just seemed like they were.

I'm sitting here right now listening to the thunder and watching some light rain. It looks like the weather will get out of the way pretty quick though, but I have TT FPs with a 5:10p return and ADR for Biergarten at 6:20p.

We road Soarin' today for the first time. COOL!!!!:cool1: Stand-by when we rode with our FPs was 2 hours. Sheesh. :scared1:

Biergarten was great, again! The rain held off until, just before Illuminations. Were else but Disney will people stand in the rain to watch a fireworks show that happens every night. ;) The rain stopped within minutes of the show ending. :rotfl:

you don't have enough slope for the torrents of rain to run off. :scared1::eek::scared1::eek::scared1:
