Hello from the 11/6 Magic cruise !

Hi all....
So far beautiful weather and calm seas. We're about an hour from Key West right now so can't type long as we have an excursion. We are going to Grand Caymen according to the captain.
Everything is wonderful so far. We have Prageeth as are waiter and Joseph as our asst waiter. Efren is our stateroom host.
Movies showing are Incredibles, Ladder49, "something"Helen, The Village, Brother Bear, Finding Nemo, Princess Diaries 2, King Arthur, Confessions of Teen Drama Queen, The Alamo and some more I can't of right now.
Hoping for a great week---met up with some other DIS'ers when we got on board and have some of the same excursions with them. Should be fun.
We're in SPH rooms 5522/5524. Nice rooms for the $ !

keep us posted.. I am especially curious on how much Damage Grand Cayman experienced.

I recently went to the west coast of Florida and Sanibel and Captiva island are still a mess.. its such a shame, and thats in the US.. can't imagine how hard it is to rebuild on an island where all the building supplies and debris have to get on and off and island!

I hope everyone is having a great time in Grand Cayman today! Please let us know how the island is! We are on the next Magic Western departing Nov. 20 so were really interested in how your day in Grand Cayman goes because if all goes well we'll be going there.

I see Maria is busy having too much fun in GC! ;-)

We made it and there are suppose to be 4 ships here today. The lady at one shop told me that she just got her power back last night and there will be parts of the island that won't get it until Christmas time. They brought people from Canada and Belize to help out. The downtown area seems to be up and running. I haven't been here before but the trees just seem to be hit hard and patchy like-if that makes sense. If you have been in hurricane country-you know what I mean. I didn't venture outside of the downtown area so someone else should speak for that. My husband did go on the two tank dive trip though and it was fantastic, he said. I did hear that the town tour with the butterflies was canceled. The weather is nice-it sprinkled first thing this morning but cleared up. It was in the high 70's to low 80's for most of today so far. Really nice, not too hot or cold. Perfect!

The prices to purchase things to bring home were wonderful.

I wish I could tell you more....Maria-maybe you can help! ;-)

On another note-very impressed with the characters. The other night Capt Hook stayed well past his scheduled time until everyone was done. They post this reader board in the 3 mid ship lobby of who the characters are going to appear at what time-you know how in the Navigator is says character appearances? Well, for those newbies like me-I thought you it was a draw who was there but it's scheduled really well. The princesses line was HUGE though and you had to wait to have them sign your book but you couldn't get pictures taken with them (at least not at this point.) Last night was formal night and my husband wore his dress uniform (he's military) and Goofy came by and saluted him and shook his hand. Something so special.

OH! Talk about special! LOVE our waiters! Manuel and Tio. They both make our son, Spencer, feel like a prince everynight. Dinner is a dream with them. They do set out your particular drink before you get there and it really makes you feel special. They knew my son's name when we first approached the table.

I love it all! I can see how people are depressed to leave.

I wish I could crawl into Dizneprincess's suitcase and go with her. We cruised together on the Wonder back on 9/19 for four days. Any way, sounds like your having a great time! Enjoy the magic. Don't miss the Disney Dreams show!
