We're home!
Checked in on Sunday AM. The guard at the gate wasn't too friendly that morning...but the guy that works the evening shift is a doll. They had a room ready for us at 9am...(we didn't plan on getting in til 4) but not water view...so we went to DTD and called back at 11. The room was ready for us...clean and perfect! Fabulous view of Cirque...will take some pictures.
The resort is lovely. Hit the pool Sunday afternoon. Slide is fun...the rec folks had hula hoop contests, noodle races (adults included) and Disney music trivia going on. Lots of fun! The water is too warm already...not terribly refreshing...but it was OK. The concrete was so hot, you couldn't walk on it. We learned quickly to wear our water shoes!
They need many more umbrellas out there.
Tons of people here for tours...we plan to visit the grand villa tomorrow for a quick peek. Lots of folks staying here as well...parking lot was FULL when I pulled in at 10:45pm tonight. Parks are crowded...extremely hot here...though it rained all evening (first time at MK in the rain for us)...so many it will cool off a bit? Well...we can hope! Lots of friendly guests on the buses...only 5 or 7 at a time for SSR at the stops. Buses have come quickly (~10 min) except for coming home from MK tonight...waited about 45 min before I flagged down another driver and had him radio dispatch. Seems unusual though.
Went to Olivia's for dinner last night...wonderful (had the crabcakes). That's it for now...if you have any questions...just ask!
