Just a new DIS officially, as I have lurked this site for I do not know how long. I was an avid TGM'er until recently, I feel it has gotten a little behind the times, although I still follow over there.
I moved to ND recently from NJ, so the airfare is KILLING me to get to my happy place!

Welcome! I grew up in a small town in ND about 20 minutes from Minot, went to college in Grand Forks, and later moved to KS. The weather here is a lot better, but I miss the people!

Welcome! The airfares may be killer, but at least you're not flooded til who knows when! Here in NJ we're getting up to 5 straight more days of rain- right after being WIPED OUT by Irene! I can't wait to get to Florida- at least the rain there is generally pleasant by comparison!

ND winters are tough for sure, and we are expected to get 200 inches this year, citing it to be the worst winter yet,, but know what you mean by the people,,,,

Heard the Jersey peeps are getting alot of rain,, even heard some schools delayed opening! crazy!! we have had our fair share of floods here this past summer, so I can symphatize....
