Congrats on the upcoming new addition and Welcome from Hauppauge! I just proposed to my now fiance on our last trip and we wish we could have a wedding down in the World, but we won't be able to (luckily we both still have grandparents, unfortunately neither of our grandfathers can fly anymore).

Sorry to hear about your grandparents being unable to fly, but at the same time it is good being able to speak about them in the present tense... unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet mine. I am sure you would want to share that moment with them and you are good people in my book for wanting that.

Regardless of where you intend to have your wedding, I am sure it will be beautiful.

Welcome! I grew up on Long Island but recently moved to eastern PA. Still go back a lot to visit family

Good for you with driving down... I usually fly but we have driven a few times. Still unsure about what we will do on our next trip...

I realize that sometimes driving down is not always the best solution depending on car capacity and number of children lol. The main reason for driving for us has been our lil doggy. Sadly, he got too big and doesn't fit under the airplane seat anymore let alone fit inside an underseat carrier bag. We have been down there 9 times in 6 years with only one flying trip lol. That's a lot of ground miles!!!

We go out to PA in the winter for ski resorts... think the last one we've been to out there is Camelback.

Welcome from Upstate NY!

Now that we're retired, we drive down too, but it takes us a good bit longer than 16 hours, as we meander, visit and sightsee.
