Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here, but have been surfing through this very extensive board, gobbling up as much info as my 40 ish year old brain can manage to absorb!

I live in Central FL (Palm Coast) o the East Coast of FL., about an hour and 15 min. NE of Orlando and all things Disney.

Although I have lived in FL all my life and have been to WDW many, many times, it's usually day trips or over-nighters. Living so close to WDW allows us to be able to head down on somewhat spur of the moment. This year however, we booked a 3night/4day stay at the Poly for my son's 17th birthday mid May after reading about the "Magical" Poly deal others found. We are super excited. So excited that it's darn near torturous to wait the next 5 months for our trip!

I'm a bit overwhelmed... as I've never ever made reservations for dinner (we typically eat quick service in the park and fast food off property) but, this time around, I've gone all out! We'll be on the DDP - so lots of Table services are booked including Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Ohana Breakfast, Cinderella's Royal Table Lunch, Kona Cafe Breakfast, Crystal Palace lunch, Be Our Guest Dinner and a special treat for my son - Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party.

It's like going for the first time all over again as we have never stayed in a Deluxe resort or ever eaten at any table service or dinner show.

Thank so much to everyone for all of the info and patience with us newbies who keep asking the same questions over and over again!

I am so loving this website! :cool1:

Welcome!

All my WDW trips have been week long (or more) extravaganzas. It is a fabulous feeling to stay in a Disney resort, eat at their table service restaurants, and be in the Disney "bubble" the whole time. I think you're going to love it!

The way your history is with WDW is similar to the history I have with Disneyland. We live about 45 minutes away in good traffic (someone tell me when that is) and many of our trips have been just one day events. But we've splurged sometimes and sprung for the hotel, the character meals, the dining packages, etc. It's so much fun either way.
