Gooday from Sydney Australia,

I have been a huge fan of unplugged and the Dis Forums for a long time and thought that I would take the big leap of faith and register as a user tonight.

Listeners of unplugged may of heard an email from me on show 02/13/2007 in regards to Australia being a baron desert for Disney information and how thankful we were for unplugged and the forums for the information we obtained for our recent trip to WDW.

We have just returned from a months holiday in Florida and 10 days at WDW. I have got to say that it blew our minds and lived up to every expectation we had developed after listening to the podcast and reading the forums.

Us Aussies, like a bit of controversy and stiring things up, so hopefully my posts will be entertaining and generate up some spirited debate.

Thanks again for everybody's assistance and I am looking forward to becoming a Dis Addict!

All the best :clown:

I'm not sure what unplugged is (other than my kettle, which IS unplugged... I just checked), but hi from Canada and welcome to the DIS! :thumbsup2

Are you really really sure you want to start doing this?? DISneyitis addiction is impossible to kick & this place is FULL of enablers!!! :p

Welcome to the edge of insanity (not to be confused with the cliffs of insanity)

Welcome from another Aussie.

It sounds like you had a great time. My family are going to Disney World next month. My husband and I went 12 years ago before we had kids and were blown away by the place. This will be our first return visit and I'm so excited.

I wish Florida was closer to Sydney so we could go more often.

Hi John,
There are more of us Aussies on here than I thought!!! :upsidedow
Would love to hear how your trip went. I'm going for my 3rd visit in November, and this is the first trip that I have been aware of all the info in the internet!! (Mind you the first time I went the internet wan't even invented!! Now I am showing my age!)
:welcome: to the DIS, and hope to hear more from you.

Heather

PS Hope those storms in Sydney over the last couple of evenings haven't affected you too much!!!

Hi Fellow Aussie,
Great to hear from you and I am very envious in regards to your upcomming trip. We loved it and if you need any information, I would be happy to help out,

All the best,

Thanks to everybody for their posts and folks seem real friendly around here.

Maybe its a Disney thing:rotfl2:

In regards to the question of what is unplugged, I was refering to The DIS Unplugged™ - Disney Podcast

The DIS Unplugged is a weekly roundtable discussion about all things Disney with the Orlando team. (Pete Werner, Bob Varley, Corey Martin, Julie Martin and John Magi).

If you don't listen to this already, you will find the feed an iTunes or equivilent. Listen and enjoy!

All the best,

Aussie John

Hi Nutsy,
It is great to know that the magic is alive in Australia.
Currently got the post vacation blues after our recent trip to WDW but trying to keep sane with the forums and podcasts.

All the best,

I hear you loud and clear mate. Actually if you saw The Great Outdoors on tv tonight it really made us homesick for Disney. We went to Disneyland back in '02 our first and only trip and now on tv tonight we saw some new rides and I said to the family that maybe we need to go back and check them all out.

Only one problem $$$$$$ just don't have enough of them to be able to afford it.:sad1:

Cool, thanks for that.
Anything that helps those post disney blues go away! :cool1:

All the best,
Aussie John
