Hi,

I am super excited to be apart of the wonderful DISboards. I have research so many things about our trip but everyday for the last week I have learned more from this board than any website... I kinda do have a question. My little DS will be 4 when we go to Disney, Would he able to ride any rides? He is a little on the tiny side.

There are no age requirements for rides and there are many rides without any height requirements as well. My 7 week old rode a bunch of rides with us. There is a list of the rides with height requirements on the wdw website.

Thank you. I am more excited now!!!!!

:welcome:

Your little DS4 will be able to ride a bunch of stuff. Sure there are a few rides where he won't meet the height requirements. No worries. There is plenty to do. We look our daughter to Disney for the first time when she was 3 and had a blast. You'll be amazed at how much they recall of their trip years later. Enjoy!

I think 4 years old is a perfect age! My DGD was a tiny 4 when she frst visited and she went on a lot of attactions. Please remember that little ones will see so many things other than attractins that you may be hard pressed to manage all of the ones you want to go on.

Our first day in the MK we went on ONE attraction....the carousel. Yep....one attraction and we had a blast that day! Every park has so many things children will be happy with!

We took my daughter to Disney when she was a year old and she loved it! She was a premie and is also on the small side. Small world was her favorite! She also had a blast crawling around and sitting in the kids pool at the POP Century. We took her again at 2 and she had even more fun! She is turning 3 soon so we are going for another one before we have to pay for her ticket. She remembers all the rides, even that on Toy Story you have to wear the glasses and you have to as she says, shoot shoot shoot!
She was a little concerned on her first ride, Under the Sea Little Mermaid when it got dark, but after seeing all the fun animatronics and dancing she loved all the rides, even Pirates!

Enjoy your trip!

I'll add to the chorus - there is a LOT for little ones! We took my daughter when she was two. Now, she is very tall, but was under 38" at the time. Her favorite ride was the Barnstormer, which is a kiddie coaster at MK. She also super loves Pirates and Haunted Mansion - we impressed upon her that they might be scare, but since she could ride, she insisted and liked both.

This year, she added the 40" rides and super loved 7DMT and Big Thunder Mountain. She insisted on being measured for Expedition Everest at AK even though we knew she was too small. She was upset, but the CM gave her a "magic" FP to come ride the coaster when she reaches 44". And we took her on Triceratop Spin as a consolation prize. :) That has no height requirement!

Great Disney classics like it's a small world, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin's Flying Carpets, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and more don't have height requirements.

The dis really is the place to go for information! I learnt WAY more here than anywhere else! Make sure to check out the trip report boards too, they're a great learning resource for trip planning!
As for the size, as pp's have said, height requirements come into play on some rides!
