LindaBabe is my stage name Linda is my name. I've been on DIS for years and Years, although you wouldn't know it from the number of posts after my name, I've scrapbooked in someway since childhood (decades ago) and in the modern manner since 2000. This board is the only one I consistantly visit now - with more than 30 trips in the last 6 years to WDW - I may drop through some of the others once a month or so.

Engineering technician by trade, and my style seems to be structural - I don't use many embellishments or stickers - just paper, pen and pictures - but that doesn't mean I don't HAVE them. I LOVE to shop for supplies. My other obsession at the moment besides gardening and photography is Build-a-bear - specifically Dimples Ursabear and her growing wardrobe.

Hi Lauri Welcome! I have enjoyed you and your husbands commeets on The Lost and Surivour threads.

My name is Julianne and I have been dis-ing since June of 2003. (my computer crashed and I had to start and new screen name) I have been scrapping for about 9 years now. I have two kids Nicholas is 6 and Mallory will be 5 on Decmeber 8th. I am a SAHM and very involved (a little too involved) in my son's PTA. I love scrapping, shopping at Target and the Chespaeake Bay.

Hi, I'm Dawn and I joined the DISboards in early 2004 after it took me awhile to find it! We won a trip to WDW from Kellogg's and I had been "away" from WDW so long, I didn't know what was what. I found the Passporter boards first, through the book, and it took me several months to figure out just what a "DISer" was!

I've been doing "arts and crafts" ever since I was a kid...anyone remember those lovely macrame owls??? My mom was an artsy, bohemian type, so I dabbled in a lot of it myself. Spent a semester as an interior design major, so I've developed a sense of that. I started scrapping 6 years ago after I broke both ankles and was in a wheelchair for 6 weeks. A CM consultant I'd never met in person delivered everything I needed to start on my '93 WDW scrapbook to my door (what a sweetie!!!). I became a consultant, but quickly "outgrew" the style. I now teach the occasional SBing class, make books to sell on eBay, or scrapbook for others who don't have the time/inclination. That means, that the cobbler's children have no shoes and my scrapbooks are no where NEAR finished! I did sign up for the Nov DCL circle journal, so I'm excited about that.

It's nice to "meet" everyone!!!

Well I was the second post on this thread telling you all how Great Lauri is

but since i will be hanging around here some now too i thought i would tell you
all a little about me

I am 34 and a mother of 2 girls who are 12 and almost 10
I have been married to my DH for almost 14 years most of it happy
I have been around the DIS since Jan 03
and been to WDW 3 times with my family and once as a child

I am learning to cook and just started scrapbooking but i have always loved crafts.

I am a former winner and host of Lauris brainchild WPASADI
and love to do the exchanges on the CB

Hi Lauri!

I'm Cassandra and a fellow Virginian (up in Leesburg). I found the Dis in 2000 when I was planning to take my daughter and husband to WDW for their first trips. I hadn't been since I was a kid so I started researching. Five years and three trips and another kid later I'm still here, though I tend to go in spurts of activity.

This is the best board, especially if you like to eat, shop (esp. at Target) and scrap! I've learned a lot from these Disers and love looking at their creative album pages they post.

Hi ML - I'm new to DIS and there is one thread that I call "home" - its the t-shirt thread. I lurk elsewhere, but mostly post on the t-shirt thread. Its filled with great ideas and even greater people. It is supportive, friendly and like a family to a great number of us. You'll see lots of banter between us, and only once that I recall a person was upset at one thread - but that person left the thread and the rest of us are warm and inviting. We'll miss Baloo alot, but glad to have you aboard!!

I have to say that Lauri puts on a FANTASTIC Pin party too! I had the priviledge of attending the Pin event in Orlando way back when. (I haven't been on the pin board in so long... but it was such a fun place!) anyway so glad you've joined us!

Welcome! This is a nice group to be incharge of, every once an awhile we may get our feathers ruffled over the "what is safe in your albums..." but that is about it! LOL!

Let see a little info on me....
I post mainly on the this board, I seem to be a huge thread killer on the other ones!
I have 2 kids DD soon to be 10 and DS 7. Married almost 17 years to the love of my life.
I love to travel, take pictures or course, scrapping. I use to paint theorems many years ago....need to start up again!
We have one dog and a stray cat who now calls us family and guess he is since I just spent $30 on flea and tick stuff and set up a vet appointment.
I hate to cook. So I need inspiration!
My main craft right now is scrapping. I am truly a collector of things but trying hard to break that habit and use what I have! I have been scrapping kind of all my life, in high school I did memory books, no photos really just the momentos! Which are fun to look back on. I Really got into scrapping when my DD was in kindergarten (5 years ago) her teacher was a CMC and got me hooked.
I am a total hodge podge scrapper. I use top loading albums. I must have my pages in order! I am not a big fan of super lumpy, but have (thanks to Nicurn) Gotten into slightly lumpy!
Guess that's about it for me!

Hi ML and welcome as others have said you will like here I am sure..
I found the Dis in June 2001 when planning to take my kids on our first "real" vacation after I split with my Ex , it was a surprise for their B-days which are 7 Weeks apart . I think I found you by pure luck then found out about mousesavers and the WDW monster I am was created!! LOL .. about me I am a single mom to DD age 12 (well in 18 days she will be ) and DS age 9. My DD is all about softball and my DS is an Ice Hockey machine! Me I love to scrap & cook . I post on alot of the boards but hang out here alot reading about everyone styles and good finds. I am proud to say that we travel to the world every year and I took my first solo trip at the begining of Oct this year. I use only CM albums & refills but am addicted to paper and stickers so I buy those all the time at LLS when they are on sale. I am finding I am now addicted to swaps too!! I have 2 albums going right now - the 3rd is in the works for style wise and I am doing a Circle Journal too!! I am trying to plan my next trip(s) as I really think that is half the fun - hope a good discount comes out for the Flower & Garden Festival as I would love to bring my Mom for Mother's day.. Michelle
