Hello all...newbie here

Hello all...been checking out this forum for quite awhile now and finally decided to sign up. My wife, myself and 14yr old Stepson have been to Universal several times, first on Florida vacations, and now that we live down here we can go whenever we want! We moved to the Tampa Bay area almost two years ago from New Jersey...we love living down here! I lived in Florida for over 20 yrs when I was younger. We decided to get annual passes and just got them this past Saturday...we went to Universal for the day and got Premier Passes...I see lots of trips to Orlando in our future! It's only about 1 1/2 hrs drive from where we are...

We just moved to Gainesville from Miami last December. It's also an hour and half from Orlando! We were deciding between getting WDW APs or Universal APs and Harry Potter made the decision for us! Lol

neighbor. I agree about living in FL. We moved here from NC, via, VA, 13 years ago. I never want to leave completely. Hopefully, we'll be snowbirds someday spending about 9 months in FL & 3 in NC each year. It's great living so close to the parks. There's nothing like driving an hour to an hour 1/2 max for a fabulous vacation.

mdb78, when we 1st moved here, our son was 5. We did WDW APs 3 years in a row. Then we went to UO. Since then, we go to UO about 3 or 4 to 1 over WDW. It's all I can do to get that occasional WDW trip out of my DH & DS. I love both resorts. They would always go to UO.

Don't forget that WDW also has flexpay now so it makes it a tad more afforable to get more APs; or you can simply do what I do add them to your wish list for birthday/holidays. My APs tend to be gifts from family members that want to use my house as a B&B - great tradeoff if you ask me.

We have a 3 yr old dd so we haven't stopped considering getting the WDW AP. We really want to get the AP (not the premium one, but the one below and still get the free parking), but we're just waiting till after Christmas. We thought about the flex pay, but we'd rather just pay for it all upfront.
