Just got a link for this board and thought I'd say hi.

We've just booked 5 nights at the end of April for me, my other half and our wee girl (she's 4). To say I'm excited doesn't cover it - my wee girl isn't going to know until she's on the plane (if I can keep the secret long enough, lol)!!!

We're booked into the Hotel New York. Apart from that, we know NOTHING.

Anyone care to give us any tips?

Hi Juneybear . Elaine, Jackie, Elaine and Reid welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Hello and welcome to DIS - be prepared to become addicted.

One tip is to make the most of Extra Magic Hours (EMH) - if staying in a disney hotel you can get into the park 2 hrs early most days - not all rides are open but a lot in fantasyland are and some in discoveryland like Buzz. You will find this worthwhile especially having a young child. Instead of queuing an hr later in the day for rides such as Peter Pan (a very popular ride) you will probably do it as a walk on

Thanks guys! The EMH sounds fab, but I'm notoriously bad at getting my butt into gear first thing in the morning, lol!

I'm going to check out other posts as there's nothing worse than having to answer the same questions all the time from newbies.

Hellloooooo

You can check out all my posts if you like I have asked about a thousand questions lol

Hehe, cheers! Not long for you now!!

Wahhhh, another 6 weeks for us, how will I cope!!

Welcome, it is very addictive. Ask anything you want, everyone is so helpful.
Your wee girl will have a blast.

welcome, anything you cant find just ask away.

your little girl is gonna have so much fun. my dd was only 22 months our first trip and was just in awe of everything lol. just be ready for her to constantly ask you to go back again after your trip lol. my dd 26 months now is currently saving all the money she can find in a little tin if you ask her why she says its her money to go back to disneyland lol

take the time to see whatever shows are on. we didnt the first time and really regreted it. also try the studios early in the morning. there are loads of characters and not a lot of people around.
