Helicopter Tour - Anyone Done One?

Hi there,

I am thinking of booking a helicopter tour for me, DH, DD10 & DS8 and was wondering if anyone has done one and which one they used.

I was looking at Air Florida Helicopters at the bottom of I-Drive and was thinking of either tour number 3 or tour number 5.

I was also wondering how easy/difficult it is to take photo's/camcorder and if you would recommend it for my children.

We used Air Florida Helicopters last April and did Tour No 7. We just turned up on the day and only had to wait around 10 minutes before we were airborne.

The pilot was great and pointed out all the sights on the way round and I had my camcorder running the whole time. You would be better off sitting in the front if you want to take pictures or film so that you have the windscreen in front of you and the window to the side. I was filming from the back so everything I shot out of the front has Dad and the pilot in it.

I would definitely recommend them, the kids will love it and you won't regret it.

only done the one in the grand canyon, can only say that there amazing.Would love to do orlando but think with no fly zone over disney wouldent see much of the WDW area.Am just hoping we win a ballon flight over disney in the YOAMD contest http://www.2008disneydreamcatalog.com/ as well as the dvc

It's only MK they are not allowed to fly over. We flew almost directly over MGM and EPCOT and did fly over Downtown Disney.

I booked a helicopter tour for dh birthday. We did the one on 192, just arrived and waited about 15 mins. I even enjoyed it. We took photos and video too! would definatly recomend it!

another option for you is to go to fantasy of flight and go up in their airplane. its a great afternoon out as well

I booked a helicopter tour with the guys on I-Drive for my DF's birthday and it was brilliant. We flew over SeaWorld just as the whales were jumping.

We saw a lot of Disney and it looks really strange from the air as you see all the back lot areas.

It was a great experience and I would love to do it again.
