We are going next week for four nights. How strict are they on height restrictions, my son is four and a half and just 40 inches bare feet and 41 with shoes. We would love to go on some of the rides as a family, since his sister is tall enough for all the rides. I was thinking of stuffing a baseball hat with tissue to get him up to 42 inches so he can ride the ones with a 42 inch limit. We're not into scary rides or rollercoaster ones, but the water ones look fun. Also we have a fold up double stroller and are debating if we should bring it or rent the ones there. We are staying at HRH. Anyone have any thoughts on these questions????

This may help you to see what he can and cannot ride. When we first visited my son was just over 42" and he was measured by the attendants often at the rides that mattered. I think for your son it will mean no Dudley and JPRA and MIB Hulk Dueling Dragons Dr Doom. He will be able to do Back to the future and spiderman and flying unicorn and the flyers Jimmy and shrek. Universal will be your best bet for doing rides/attractions as a family. Personally I wouldnt stuff his hat to make up the 2" difference. Popeys is closed right now so the only other water rides would be Dudley and he wont make that or JPRA height requirements. I would spend some time at the interactive play areas in both parks, families can have a great fun in these! It is disappointing fo many to not be tall enough to do certain things but my kids have learned to look at it as something to look forward to next time.

As far as the stroller goes we always rented it there but keep in mind they do not recline if that matters but are quite roomy. The offer singles and doubles and you can use them for the entire day. Have a fun trip! :)

Thanks for the information. He's not into the dinoasaur one, too scary. He will be very dissapointed not to be able to do spider man, so hopefully he is tall enough. I'll let you all know how are trip is.

He is tall enough for spiderman!
