Height Requirement / Age question

Won't be for life he'll ride anything and everything now (at 8). Tower of terror scared the crap out of him, but I saw that one coming. The one that surprised me was splash and Kali. He haaaaated the water (he is also a huge swimmer, so who knows what that was about, maybe the suddenness of it?) . We still do water rides with my kids in ponchos . He got spooked on Dinosaur at Ak. And he hated Ursula in the Little mermaid ride at Dhs. But kids are so different from each other
That Ursula is a bit creepy though. I definitely understand. :scared:

Good luck! Sounds like you have a great attitude going in. FYI, you can't be in the 100th percentile, a percentile means "greater than ____ %" so if you are in the 99th percentile it means you are taller than 99% of people, you can't be taller than 100% of people because you are included in that number. I have a gigantor too, though she was just 3 when we went. She was scared of Dumbo though so I didn't ever have to get her measured :) My other daughter is only in the 95th percentile and though she is a dare devil last summer she got freaked out by those cars they have outsdie grocery stores....You're lucky to have daring kids, I miss Spash!!!
Ok this makes sense :) And we will see how daring my kids end up being once we ride some rides I suppose!! :/

I had an issue last year where my infant kept dropping off the reservation in MDE each time I modified it (including payment). I had to ring the IT department to have him added back on, reservations couldn't help as he was listed on the reservation already.

Ok this was our case with some of our dinner reservations. I had to call to get him added. Just looking and he's not on our hotel reservation afterall.

Does he really technically need a band?

Don't worry if your child is listed in the ADR as infant/child/adult. CM at the check in counter will make the adjustment. It is more about the numbers of guest than the age distribution. If it is a prepaid reservation, it is better to do it over the phone.

I was happy that Disney sent a band for my 2 years old at the time. Although it is useless as an admission, but I was glad that I didn't have to deal with "why her sister got one and she didn't". She had a great decorating it, but didn't like to wear it once we were in the park. We just left it in the room after day 1.

The shrinking throughout the day thing is true but I think with kids it is more about slouching. Make sure he stands with his heels together and his back straight, might want to have him practice it at home before you leave. I'm right there with you as my 2 year old DD is 98th percentile too and was already at 38 3/4 inches as of her 2 year well visit in March. Our trip is in 5 months so I'm hoping she hits 40 inches so she can go on more stuff with us.

I hope I don't get any of those looks about not paying for admission for her but really her bday isn't until March and our trip is in December so she will still be 4 months away from being 3! what you and I really need to do is hand these kids some basketballs and hope they have some skill so we don't have to pay for college!

I second having him practice. DS had trouble getting measured lots of times, not because he was too short. He rode ToT right after he turned 3. He made me go. :-)
