I told DH to get me gallon ziplocs yesterday and he brought home 2.5 gallon bags made by Hefty!! The biggest I had seen before this was the 2 gallon Ziplocs. I will save these for our trip in June and just go myself to get gallon baggies for the freezer LOL. I just thought I would pass along the "find" in case someone else was looking for big storage bags to pack things in.

Oh and there was also a free BIC Mark-It marker in the container of baggies (plus a 1.00 coupon for them).

Hang onto them! I was able to find them once in my area, and now all I can find are the 2 gallon bags.

Our Target down here also has them. I just used them in WDW last weekend. They are great for Pal Mickey in the rain. :earboy2:

I have been searching high and low for Ziploc bags, or Hefty bags that are 2 gallon or 2.5 gallon. Does anyone know if these items are available in Canada? Our next trip is not until December 1st, 2005, but I am an organization freak. I found the 2 gallon bags on ebay, but the shipping to Canada is pretty steep.

I have only found them once! It was at Target! They are great for travelling! I put my DS7 complete outfit in them so he just grabs a bag to get dressed each morning we are on vacation. :sunny:

2 gallon is the biggest ive seen. got some last week at super wal-mart. sometimes they are in the camping section which were a larger size but didn't pick them up! i will check out target.

Try Walmart or Zellers.

Have not really looked for them as I usually Shuffle off to Buffalo to get these!

If I happen to spot them, I'll let you know.

Scratch,

Thanks for the info, neighbour! I've never been to Buffalo, can you believe it! Maybe I will have to plan a little roadtrip, just so I can buy my Ziploc bags. I have tried Walmart and Zellers, but the only luck I had was when I signed DD up for karate, her uniform came in a jumbo-size Ziploc. Is there a specific mall that you shop at in Buffalo and how far across the border is it?

It all depends on how adventurous I feel!

I have an old CAA map that shows where the malls are! When DD was younger used to to the "Black Friday" where we would start at Walden Galleria then back over the bridge to the Target and then back towards Transit Road. Then we would take Transit Road back to Sheridan Drive,
hit all the strip malls up until we got to the Walmart. After Walmart head over to the Travellodge for a quick nap!LOL In the morning, back to Sheridan Drive to do the Niagara Falls Outlet Mall. Also hitting Tops and Wegmans! Gotta get my Garlic and Onion Chips! And of course a supply of Spagettio's!

Spend the day shopping there, and then head back home!

Then there is the shorter version, where we only go to the Boulevard Mall and then head back towards Niagara Falls!

I bought these at Target due to a tip from the boards. The 2.5 gallon ones are not quite as good as the medium space saver bag which target sells (didn't pack as small) but did do the job.

I fly every 2 weeks - lots of packing.

Just be aware that if you go crazy with the space saver bags, you may go over the weight limit...
