Heathrow Hotels

It's suddenly dawned on me that we will by flying from Heathrow this August. Normally we fly straight into Orlando from Gatwick, but we're off to Miami this year.

We normally stay at the Gatwick Hilton.

What I'm after is info on similar hotels at Heathrow (what terminal do we fly from?!). We do like the luxury of the walk through from the Hotel to the south terminal at Gatwick, so can this happen at Heathrow?

Only ever flown in the evening from Heathrow so not needed to stay the night before!

The Skyline (I think it may be Sheraton Skyline now) used to be quite reasonable, on a par with Gatwick Hilton. Virgin flights leave from Terminal 3 but I don't think there are any hotels right on the doorstep.

We fly to Barbados next Friday for a cruise and have booked the Gatwick Hilton for Thursday. P&O got us a fantastic deal, about 60% of the cheapest ABC Extras etc.

If you are flying with BA from T4, there is a Hilton hotel attached. If you are flying with VA, then you will be using T3 and should pick any of the hotels on the north side of the airport who all have a shutle bus service to the terminals. Don't use the Hilton as there is no easy way to get from T4 to the others
