Actually I kinda thought this whole thread was laughing at at the whole issue of taking the religion issue so seriously.. I didn't think it was meant to insult the OP, but lighten up the situation.

I guess I just like trying to find the humor in every situation....

I guess I'd be considered a Pagan Liberal too - or more of a Liberal Pagan?

Anyways, we won't be there in June, but we're hoping for a trip in early August, before our APs expire!

Blessed be,

Schmeck

To me this thread was started to attempt to put some light heartedness into a sensitive subject. Hard to believe but some Christians (like myself) actually do have a sense of humor. THe funny thing is I think some of the posters on the other thread have a different idea of Christian. I think they think it only applies to their own type of Christianity.

Frankly I like to hang out with people who aren't JUST like me..... I get tired of me after a while. :teeth:

Chobie-It's your friendly liberal thread member DissyLove-I will be there in June, currently June 13-19, I think. I will be the occasionally Methodist mom with two little non baptized children, while my lapsed Catholic husband stays home with our equally non baptized baby!!! See you there!!

This thread is in fun-please, no conversion PM's, please!

Well spoken, DisneyMomx7!!!!

I think I should get a lime green shirt made that says "TrickyFish: Religion free since 1981" so all Dis-ers can recognize me!

(This is in jest, folks.. I'm just laughin at this whole situation! :earboy2: )

Wow!!! Thanks for this one!! I ALMOST responded to the other thread, "No, sorry...you will be the ONLY Christians in WDW that week!" :confused3

I have always said...it is better for someone else to call you a Christian, than for you to announce it yourself. I am a firm believer of "do good works, love Jesus with all your heart, and let others call you what they will."

I'm just happy when I meet nice people at WDW....especially if they are the "princesses"!!! ;)

If you're a Liberal Pagan do the Conservative Pagans try to swing you over to thier side?

Or are you Liberally Pagan, meaning a liberal (hearty) dose of Paganism in your daily life?

It's nice to be able to laugh at this stuff without somebody thinking that you are attacking thier religion. Oh, wait, somebody did... never mind!

I just love this thread!! You guys have me ROTFLMAO :rotfl2: From the Jewish-Christian-Pagan-Unitarian Liberal contingent, let me just say that I would drink beer with any of you in a heartbeat!! Or get together and hang out and not drink beer if you're of the non-drinking persuasion. I love you all!!!

Spoken like a true Christian!

:rotfl:
I never said I was!
But I recognize that someone asking to meet up with others of the same faith in Disney is not a reason to ridicule them.

(btw, I am a christian but with a small "c". That means I can swear and be mean at times.)

;)

Thank you for this thread. I'm afraid we won't be there in June, but it's nice to feel welcome.

You're a generous and accepting person! I often feel ostricized and ridiculed for being a NonBeerDrinker.

If you're in WDW May19-27, let's get together for a oke and a smile!

This thread was not meant to ridicule the Scottish poster asking to meet up with Christians. It may have been meant to make light of how a non-Christian like myself may have become offended and how Christians then became offended about non-Christians being offended.

We all love the WDW and that is what is important. :grouphug:

oh my turn now please.... :cool1:
glad to see that we can all just laugh at the silliness of it all. i swear it was like 1st grade girls on the playground when i am on recess duty(please no flames on what i have against 1st grade girls--that is just the grade i keep duty over)

i was baptized catholic, then my grandparents had me become methodist, then when my parents moved (out went the beer, the cards and the cuban cigars) they became born again christians, who felt i needed to be born again too with out asking me, now they are retired and mother is back to being catholic and dad is smoking the cubans again,lol.....and people wonder why i am an atheist. :confused3 i just happened to fall in love and marry one too, and nope we didn't meet at some atheist support group, lol.

ds is nothing at this time, but when he is older he can follow his heart, and make his own choice, that is the great thing about our country!!

we live our life by just being good, kind people, who would go without, to help others. we do not judge anyone. and when people say for whatever reason, either illness or traveling, that they will pray for us, we thank them and mean it, b'c we look at it as they are going out of their way to have good thoughts for us. how kind is that?!!? warm fuzzies, when others care!

we won't be going to disney until 2007... :sad2: but we are very much looking forward to meeting fellow disers then!! and the only thing we will ask you is "how are you doing?" and "what has been the best thing of your trip so far?" no heavy questions from this pod.... :)

to all who are going soon....safe travels...pixie dust...and a cold one at the rose and crown!!(either beer or soda..your choice ;) )

Well this Canadian Pagan isn't going to be there till early July. But I'll have no part of Stitch Sacrificing, but I can think of a few other characters I wouldn't mind doing the FluffyBunny Ritual with ;)

but i would like to meet fellow packer fans. hope that is ok.

Well said Beca! We will be there in June and I hope to see some other DISer's, I don't care what your faith is. Just because someone is not a christian does not mean I can not associate with them. I never opened the other thread, had no interest. :grouphug:

*******Edited to add:
Forgot to say, I too will have no part of a Stitch sacrifice! Have to draw the line there. :goodvibes I love that little guy, he reminds me of my DS7.
