Heath Ledger has passed away :MEMORIAL PICS POSTED

He would have been 25-26 when his daughter was born. That is not young to start a family. By the time my parents were 25 they had 3 children under the age of 3. And at this point, unless I hear otherwise, I will think his death was accidental.

I agree with you. My Heath was 25 when our son was born, and turned 26 exactly 3 weeks later. He wasn't too young to be starting a family, and neither was Heath Ledger. I really resent judgmental posts about him "dabbling in drugs" and such, when NO ONE has any details regarding what really happened. And as for the person who said he looked uncomfortable in an interview...it had nothing to do with him being unhappy about having a baby with his fiancee. He was a reserved person who reportedly HATED being interviewed. It made him uncomfortable at all times...no matter the topic. I just can't stand it when people start speculating on NOTHING and smearing someone's good name. It's not like he's Britney Spears and clearly committed many illegal acts and exhibited daily bad judgment in a very public way. He died and there is speculation that pills are involved. How the heck do people go from that to badmouthing him? :confused3

It's possible the cause of his death had nothing to do with drugs. He could have had an aneurism or a heart attack, as rare as it is for young men. It's sad that drugs is the first thought, even though I understand why that would be the first idea.

I've also read that he hated interviews, and had panic attacks. It's too bad an actor just can't do the job that they love without them being put up on such high pedestals. I know some of them love all the attention, but I think someone like Heath just loved the job, and not all the attention that goes with it.

So bummed to hear about this. :(

I loved him in 10 Things I Hate About You & A Knights Tale, among other things.

So very sad for his dd too!

What a shock. Prayers for his family & friends.

agnes!

i highly doubt it was a susicide or something like that. and you're totally right, heart attack or an aneurism are definate possibilities. i hate that the media is all of a sudden making things up about him. we don't know what happened, let's not jump ahead and say we do, you know?

I totally agree with you.

Here's the way it went down. A cleaning lady for Heath arrived at the apartment first, followed soon thereafter by a masseuse. They both entered the room at around the same time and discovered Heath's lifeless body.

The cleaning lady called police. The masseuse, we're told, called the bodyguard for the Olsens. She called him because they're friends and he's an EMT. The bodyguard was around the block at Ashley's and he immediately went over. By the time he arrived, the cops were already there.

We're also told it appeared Heath "had been dead for a while" and there were no visible signs of trauma. There was a pill bottle on the nightstand.

TMZ is reporting he had pnuemonia

You know, it may not be what everyone seems to be thinking if he had pnuemonia. My cousin passed away suddenly two years ago after suffering pnuemonia, it was very unexpected as she was only 42 and otherwise healthy. She seemed to be recovering, but then passed away at home in her sleep. Maybe the police should keep their mouths shut (why are they releasing so much information, like about the sleeping pills?) until after the autopsy. I feel so badly for his family, imagine how shocked they are? And they have to hear all the horrible speculation on top of it. :sad2:

:sad1:
What bad news to wake up to. How devastating for his parents, and his poor daughter.

How sad, his death is a huge loss, IMO.

Prayers for his family and loved ones, especially his very young daughter who will never have a chance to really know him. :(

ITA! This is what I thought as well....its just so unbelievable. I feel so bad for Michelle and his sweet little girl:sad1:

He also had 3 very long flights in the last 5 or 6 days could have been a blood clot. For Goodness sakes he could have had an Aortic Dissection...There are no real reports of anything but sleeping pills in the house and people are assuming he was some sort of drug addict.. If he was already having respiratory issues due to peunominia the sleeping pillsmay have exacerbated his respiratory symptoms...We just don't know yet..Lets just wait and see..Out of respect for his parents and daughter.
You know if Ed died tonight they first thing the ME would see was morphine and other drugs...It doesn't make him a drug addict

I agree that we don't know. I'll wait till the coroner makes his ruling, but because he was found face down on his floor with pills all around, to me this suggests that he hadn't even taken the pills yet.

So Sad, I was in shock when I heard this. He was a very Talented Actor, so so sad.:sad1: :guilty: Hoping it wasn't drug related......

He was found in bed, and I haven't read anything about "pills all around" but a pill bottle on a nightstand. He was moved to the floor when they were trying to revive him.

Scandals are what TV news shows live for. Who knows if it really is or not at this point, lets make it seem like it is. We can backpedal later. I don't know why they have to keep making a point of saying he was found naked as though that is some really juicy information. He was in his own apartment in his own bed. Doesn't seem strange to me that he was naked.

I wasn't much of a fan of his, but I was still shocked to hear of his passing :guilty: It's always sad to hear of someone young passing away, especially when it's unexpected.

My condolences to his friends and family :grouphug:

Especially when you consider the fact that he was getting ready to have a massage. Aren't people naked when they get a massage? The media loves to blow every possible thing out of proportion. Hopefully we'll have an answer soon.

From what I've read he was probably dead for hours before they found him, so I don't think he was getting ready for the massage. I think he just sleeps naked. It doesn't seem newsworthy but they've got to report something, I guess and without much details they have to go with what they've got.
