Are there any attractions at USF that provide shaded/covered areas for guests while waiting in line? We usually visit Florida in January when the temps and humidity are moderate, but this year we are going in August with young children.:worried:

Most of them are covered. I know Twister is covered with fans, so is Shrek, Jaws, Simpsons, and more. Some are not covered but they are very few. You should be fine! Are staying onsite?

There is a section of the Rip Ride Rocket that isn't covered in Universal Studios, but you typically wouldn't be in there too long and there are fans.

In Islands of Adventure, part of The Hulk, Flight of the Hippogriff, Popeye, Poseidon's Fury, Ollivander's and Dueling Dragons have either uncovered or partially uncovered (I think they are all partly covered except Ollivander's.) There are fans though, oh and if you find youself waiting in the outdoor portion of DD... you have a long way to go. (But this doesn't happen... unless its grad night...)

Universal doesn't do nearly as good a job as Disney at cooling the waiting areas. We were there two years ago in August and I felt like I was melting. It might be worthwhile to consider the express pass.
