Ok i'm gonna ask, what do you do to help with heat rash? You know between the legs when you walk to much... Or your shorts get wet in water rides? How do you handle it? What do you put on to help with the pain?

Use Body Glide or Monistat Antichafing gel in the morning before you get dressed to prevent it. If you are going during the summer when it's REALLY hot, you may want to carry it to the parks with you to reapply about mid day, although we've never had to. Body Glide is the best thing ever made. It's great between the legs, underarms, under breasts, or belly folds or anywhere else someone might chafe and it's also great at preventing blisters on your feet. Some people also swear by antiperspirant (not deodorant though). Prevention is better than a cure or treatment.

I purchased some Monistat chafing relief powder gel to use on my knee.

I have to wear a black neoprene band and it was bothering my skin.
So I just tried using the powder gel and it really helped.

I agree - either bodyglide or monistat chafing gel would work great. But it's important to use them ahead of time, not after you have a problem. They're meant as a preventive measure, not a treatment after you have the problem.

you can also use some baby powder in a pinch, though I agree, grab some body glide and you will be good to go.

:furious: I hate rashes. DH and I swear by Baza Cream, it works fast. Be sure to remove wet clothing after having fun. You can also cut up an old t-shirt and use it in different skin folds, too.

I carry both in my beachbag for the chafing that occurs from wet bathing suits. The lanacaine works best during the day because you can rub it in. It stings a little at first. Balmex is best for nightime to promote healing but it is messy!! I bought bodyglide to use for our next trip. Also bought my kids some of those quick drying shorts. They are so soft. They are made by TOny Hawk and I got them at Kohls. No wrinkles either!!

Bodyglide is the best thing ever made. Both DH and I put it on in the morning and we are good to go the whole day. Made our trips all that more enjoyable.

If you don't prepare and get chafed, Desitin or any other baby rash ointment will also to the trick!!

Or baby powder with cornstarch. That cleared mine up pretty quick after the bout I got last year at Disney.

Where do you buy Bodyglide? And in what department?

I found it at Eastern Mountain Sports. I would think any sporting store will have it. I found it in the bicycle section, but just ask and they will point you in the right direction.

Beware of high humidity. I live in New Mexico and used to dry heat. I normally don't chaffe (sp?) but with the high humidity my cotton shorts were practically soaked after a day at MK and I ended with a major problem. I'm glad I brought nylon work out short that I was able to wear underneath my cotton short so that my thighs could slide.

I use Under Armor shorts, they really do the trick and help get the moisture away from your body, as well and preventing friction.

I have a freind who also swears by the Body Glide.

The key is to prevent it. Can alway tell a true FL rookie, limping arround park in jeans, hurts just to look at them.

well me and my DM got it on our thieghs and all u can rly do is put sunscreen on it. it will eventually go away in no less than 1 day.
