Thanks - she really was so excited to be back in the castle with her princess friends. It really is fun to go there, isn't it??? I mean, I know a lot of people complain about the food and the cost, but I love going there and will continue going there as long as we are both enjoying it.
We really did have a great princess-filled morning and lunchtime at MK! What a great way to start a trip, right?All caught up again and loving your TR! It sounds like you had an awesome Princess day, from your meeting with Merida, to finned Ariel and all the CRT princesses, what an awesome day! Willow looks every inch a princess herself.
I was kind of hoping that I might spot you at Remy or Palo though! Oh man, I can't wait to get to REMY in my dining review! I hope you two had a great cruise - were you back-to-back again???
Yeah, character interaction definitely varies wildly - understandable, I think, given the changing moods of the characters, the people with whom they're interacting, the type of day everyone has had, how busy they are, etc. I do think that this particular meal was the best princess dining interaction we have ever had (we have done CRT and Akershus all three trips) - it was a very special and super-fun lunch. DD had a fantastic time.
Yeah, it would be nice if maybe they had a choice - half-sizes or something. I can see that maybe when kids are closer to 8 or 9, they would want/need the whole meal, but DD never finishes the WDW meals. Now part of that really is how distracted she is at character meals. I was actually a little worried about how little she ate at this meal given that she hadn't had any breakfast.

I worked really hard on those pages, and I often questioned my sanity while doing it, but I think they helped lead to some really great character interactions on this trip.I absolutely adore how Alice has signed her name, it's so cute. It really was a great princess meal - truly the best one we have had as far as the princesses. I love that lipstick mark too - so sweet!I love the photos of Willow with the Princesses and how wonderful that they were really nice! Oh I also love Snow White's lipstick mark in Willow's book

It was the character meals that made it financially helpful for us. I don't even really like dessert, so I would basically have a taste or two and be done. I don't think I actually finished even one course of any meal. I actually lost 50 pounds during the first 3 months of this year - I did NOT want to screw that up. I definitely gained some - I mean, come on, we took a DCL CRUISE the next weekI've never been able to make deluxe dining make sense. I made some major changes to my diet over the past year, and I just can't justify it anymore. I can't get dessert with every meal and eat that much. Well, I mean, I CAN, but it's better if I didn't.
- but not as much as I feared. Now I just need to refocus and get that gain gone.....

I really liked that new Snow White dress - it was very comfy for her, and I thought it looked really cute. I will TRY not to share the upcoming selfies of her teeth and the back of her throat.Yay, Willow selfies! I especially like the close up of the eye.
Our server was very odd - she clearly had no interest in providing a signature-level dining experience for us. I get that a two-top of a mom and a little kid is not every server's dream table, but it's not like we weren't racking up a pretty $$$$ bill (despite the DDP, the total is right there for tipping purposes!).That stinks with your experience at the Yachtsman. Good attitude though. I would certainly hope that it's not a laissez-faire attitude on the servers part, because there's a large amount of people out there that it's significantly worse than getting pretty sick. Not that I don't feel your pain there.
Listen, I'm gonna be real right now. I would be like "forget the puzzle!" and would have just stuck the chocolate in my mouth.
I should have proposed that solution to Willow! Right???? I think my clients might have a whole new level of respect for me if I came to work in princess dresses every day!

She had a great time and I think she was very happy with her choice. She is currently leaning toward wearing the dress for Halloween, but that could change at any time......
It was so WEIRD. I still find myself hoping that I was missing something, that I somehow totally misunderstood what was going on. I mean, surely, no parent would actually have their child pee a lake-sized puddle in a photograph studio and then not even clean the kid up, right???? It just can't be!!!
Oh, I'm sorry you didn't get to meet Merida - she was absolutely incredible. So full of life, so "in character," just a really fun meet. And we were so excited to meet her as we had been waiting for that meet for quite a long time.Good choice heading over and riding Dumbo and the Barnstormer first. We didn't get to meet Merida, as much as I wanted to.

- I have heard the same from many moms of boys. Apparently, they are just not quite as keen to spend hours of their vacations getting autographs from characters.

CRT and every othe place we ate after the Yachtsman handled the issue phenomenally. And some even had really wonderful choices for me.
We were really lucky at this meal - every single princess was in rare form, joking around, making a point to know Willow's name, engaging in real conversation with her, enjoyin the autograph pages. It was the *perfect* CRT experience.

I had to quote this because it is not only hysterical but I have to say the same thing ( but it will be tonight ) Have been working like a horse and just now catching up...it will also make me remember where I left off 
I think that's right - it's really the only one. It is quite a bit better at DHS, but pretty much everything else is better at DLR. And, get this, I am hatching a major plan to get DLR APs for us for 2014 and make at least 3 trips in 2014! I am so excited to surprise Willow with the APs for Christmas and then take her for her 7th birthday in January!
Ahhh - that makes more sense!And the way we used the same book for a few trips was easy- we could add pages.
Although, given the way DD hunts down characters, that would be one THICK book! Thanks so much. I really did feel like a lunatic doing it, but we had a ton of fun with it with the characters.
Oh, you definitely need to do it at least once. It is not going to be the greatest food you've ever had, but the food is just fine, and it is so special meeting all the princesses right there in the castleAll those princesses looked great! I have never eaten there- someday I will, tho- I wonder if that Jasmine also is Snow White- she looks like she could be. Glad you had such a great experience!
