I can't recommend this highly enough: Subscribe to Tour Guide Mike (www.tourguidemike.com ). I've used him the last two years and I swear, if you follow his advice you won't have to wait in line for more than 10-15 minutes at ANY ride, even during high season.

We got burned 3 years ago after having an absolutely miserable vacation with the crowds, heat, etc. Then we tried TGM and were absolutely amazed at the difference. Instead of having a "Disney Death March" through the parks, coming close to heat stroke a couple times, we had an enjoyable, FUN experience...the way Disney was meant to be.

To me, that's EASILY worth the twenty bucks. Highly recommended.

Nope! We tried commando style on our very first trip and about killed ourselves in the heat.

He's just in the parks every day giving VIP tours so he knows the crowd patterns from minute to minute and maximizes his knowledge of where the crowds will be throughout the day, then steers you away from them.

About a month ago, I checked th UG crowd rating for the first week of December. It was a 1. A week or so ago I checked again and it was a 4. And I noticed there were no more 1's in the entire year. I don't think there were even any 2s.....

DH said he looked and through into 2006, nothing below a 3, even in Jan and Feb for next year!!! Jan and Feb are usually empty! Crazy, huh?

We've never used Tour Guide Mike, but I agree, even in the high season, you shouldn't have to wait that long. We still were able to do almost everything we wanted without long waits. The main thing to remember is, if you hit a ride at a long wait, wait a little while and try again -- or get a fastpass. Some rides never get shorter wait times, like Peter Pan and Soarin' but some of them do, like Pirates, Haunted Mansion, etc. If you just try back later, it's usually a shorter line.

My OP wasn't meant to tell you that you will not get any of your plans done, it was just to warn you about what else you will be dealing with at the same time. It just means you'll have to be a little more flexible.
