I bought a Sony a6000 so I could take awesome pictures on our recent trip. It was our first time staying on property and stayed at the Poly. It was a once in a lifetime vacation.
On our 5th day (of a 6 day vaca) my camera suddenly said that is could not read the card and to re-insert the card. This happened about 10 minutes after I had been using it last. I did this several times along with turning the camera off and taking out the battery to "re-set it. I kept receiving the same message.
I put a new card in after we got home and it works fine so far.
My computer doesn't even acknowledge that the card is in. Other devices that do read the card say that it's blank.
One thing that I didn't do that I now know I should have is to have formatted the original card prior to using it. Could that have caused by my problems?
Is there any way of recovering what's on the card? I'm so upset that that only pictures I have are the ones that I took from my i-phone, and those are only of the last day and a half! I had taken hundreds of pictures and they're all gone.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
